    Just what the #%$* happened?

     

    Tina paused and closed her eyes again.

     

    Bette: what? What is it?

     

    Tina slowly opened her eyes again.

     

    Tina: I remember feeling these two strong arms around me lifting me up. I remember kicking and screaming. I was being carried away to a car. Then a cloth was put over my mouth, it had something on it, it smelt horrible

     

    Tina just burst into tears. Bette wrapped her arms tightly around Tina and felt her own eyes filling with tears.

     

    Tina: I don’t remember anything after that. The next thing I knew I was standing in front of your door. Oh god, what if something happened to me. What happened to me? Who would do something like this?!?!

     

    Bette held onto her tighter and just let the tears flow from her face. Not knowing exactly what happened to Tina was killing her. ‘What if none of these injuries were from the accident, what if she was rapped?’

     

    Bette felt an arm on her shoulder and looked up into her big sister’s eyes. She could she the tears coming from Kit’s eyes and looked at the rest of the family and saw the same.

     

    Tina slowly pulled away from Bette and looked up at her.

     

    Tina: What if I was rapped and don’t know it?

     

    Shane: Tina, don’t think like that? I sure if you were, you would know.

     

    Bette: We’re not taken any chances here.

     

    Bette reached over and pressed the nurse call button. Seconds later the nurse came running into Tina’s room.

     

    Bette: Humm, can you all do a rape kit on her. She passed out after the accident and remembers being carried away to a car, I just want to be sure?

     

    Nurse: No problem, I’ll be right back with a doctor.

     

    The nurse left the room.

     

    Bette: Its gonna be okay Tina who ever did this, no matter what happened, we’re gonna find out who and they will pay.

     

    Tina just clung her body to Bette’s and silently cried.

     

    The doctor came in and told everyone they had to leave so he could do what he needed to do. They all left after giving Tina hugs and kisses.
