Shane, Carmen, and Mark’s apartment.

It is more than just breakfast.  It is a celebration.  A victory for Mark in knowing that his documentary has legs now.  A victory for Shane and Carmen that their relationship appears to be full of promise now.

Carmen ”You ever been a part of Pride?”

Mark ”Um…the gay pride thing, right?”

Shane ”It’s kind of a big deal here.”

Mark ”Um, Veronica wants me to get some footage.  Tried getting up with Kit about getting some highlights at The Planet, but haven’t heard back.”

Dana’s apartment.

They wake up together.  For Lara, this is her home.  She still has her apartment for the occasional time for solitude.  From time to time, Dana loves having her own time.  Today is not one of those times.  Today is a day in which they love spending that time together.  Their day is interrupted with a ringing of the doorbell.  Dana checks.

Dana ”…It’s Howie!”

Lara ”Your brother, Howie?”

Dana ”Yeah!  What’s he doing here???”

Lara shrugs.

Lara ”Maybe he’s here for Pride.”

Dana rolls her eyes.

Dana ”Not funny.”

Dana opens the door.

Howie ”Hey!”

Dana ”Howie!!!”

Howie ”Big Sis!”

Howie enters, the siblings engaged in a hug.

Howie ”Good to see ya!”

Howie sees Lara approaching, curious.

Howie ”You uhhh…must be Lara?”

Lara ”Yes.  Hi.”

Howie ”Mom and Dad say hi…to both of you.”

Dana ”Really?”

Howie ”Yeah, believe it or not they seem to like Lara okay.  They still talk about that dinner you all had together.  An invite would have been nice, by the way.”

Dana ”Sorry.”

Dana looks at Lara, still unsure just why her younger brother has suddenly arrived with a suitcase.

Alice’s apartment.

While Dana is receiving a surprise visit from her brother, Alice is receiving another kind of visit.  They sit on the couch at opposite ends.

Gabby ”That Chart is just amazing to look at.  No matter how many times I see it.”

Alice ”Yeah, it’s everything you know all on a white board.”

Gabby ”Okay…I gotta ask.  What’s going on with you?”

Alice ”Me?  What do you mean?”

Gabby ”Well…since the cruise, I haven’t really heard from you.”

Alice ”Well…y’know, I’ve been busy with stuff.  The radio show, the magazine.  I keep a pretty busy schedule sometimes, especially with Pride comin’ up.”
