Tina rolled her eyes and looked at George. George raised her eyebrows and sat back deep into her seat.

Tina: “No mom, I live here with Bette, remember I told you about her….years ago. We fell in love? We moved in together? Is any of this regestering? she said throwing up her hands.

Kathy: “Have I met Bette?” she asked

Tina: “No..you have not met Bette”

Kathy: “I thaught you were with that Eric guy”

Tina: “Yeah mom, I was! seven years ago!” as she threw her hands up again and walked into the living room.

Kathy: “Oh ok, well you know me I always forget things.” she said sitting back down.

George: “Well, I know you just got here but I have to get going. I’ve got alot of stuff I need to do.” she said as she quickly stood up.

Tina quickly looked at George and gave her an evil look.

Kathy: “Ohhh, you have to leave already? I know let’s all have dinner tonight. Tina you can bring…” she said trying to think of Bette’s name.

Tina: “Bette?” she said resting her head in her hand and leaning on her knee in defete

Kathy: “Yeah Bette, you can bring her and George, you can bring someone, do you have a boyfriend?”

George: “no, mom. I don’t have a boyfriend.” she said stopping in her tracks and looking back at Tina

Tina quickly looked up with her eyebrows raised and her mouth open wearing a slight grin.

Kathy: “Ah, well you can bring someone too if you like.”

George: “Yeah, well maybe I will. Give me a call.” she said turning towards the door. “bye Tina” she said then yelled “BYE BETTE”

Kathy: “Oh, she’s here?” she said looking back at Tina

Tina looked up at George with wide eyes and an annoyed look while George smiled and fliped her the finger then waved.

Tina: “Yeah she’s home. She was in the shower, i’ll go see if she’s out.” she said quickly getting up and running down the hallway.

Tina rushed into the bedroom and closed the door behind her. Bette was just finishing getting dressed when Tina burst through the door.

Tina: “I don’t know what im going to do with her.” she said as she paced across the room.

Bette: “Calm down. What’s going on?”

Tina: “She’s crazy. She has no recalection of me telling her about you let alone who you even are. Don’t take offence to that, George came out to her years ago and she asked her if she had a boyfriend.”

Bette: “Oh. interesting. Why is she here?”

Tina: “She came for George’s birthday.” she said rolling her head around trying to crack her neck.

Bette: “Isn’t her birthday-”

Tina: “Next week? Yeah, she’s here for a whole two weeks.” she started pacing again “Well I guess we better get out there.”

Bette: “We, im supposed to meet her right now? Tina I don-”

Tina: “Well it’s either now or tonight when we have dinner with her.” she said as she grabbed Bette’s arm and led her out into the living room.

When they reached the living room Kathy was nowhere to be found.

Tina: “Where the ***** did she go?” she said looking around.

Bette: “Is that her?” she said pointing at the woman lounging by the pool.

Tina huffed and walked out onto the deck. Bette smiled and followed.

Kathy: “I don’t remember you telling me you had an in ground pool” she said looking up at Tina.

Tina: “Why would you?” she said shaking her head. “mom, this is Bette”

Kathy brushed herself off and stood up. She turned around with a smile and extended her hand.

Kathy: “Nice to meet you Bette, i’ve heard alot about you.”

Bette: “Nice to meet you.” she said as she smiled at Tina and shook Kathy’s hand.

Kathy: “Well, I would love to get a tour of the whole place but I should check into my hotel. Do you know how to get there from here?” she said holding out the hotel conformation.

Bette leaned over to look at it. “Yeah, I know where that’s at.” she said leaning back up. “Oh good, is it easy to get there?” asked Kathy. Tina looked up at her mom with concern, she knew she would probably get lost. Bette noticed Tina’s face and said “Well I have got to run into work and pick something up so you could follow me and I will take you there” Tina looked over at Bette and smiled, she knew that the CAC was in the totally oposite direction. “Thanks that will be great” said Kathy as she got her keys out.

Kathy: “Ok honey, I will call you when I check in, then we can discuss dinner” she said giving Tina a hug.

Tina: “Ok, mom. Be careful”

Bette and Kathy walked out the door and drove away. Tina shook her head and smiled, she rubbed her stomach and said “well that’s your grandmother” then she headed towards the bathroom to take a shower.

George headed over to Alice’s after she left Bette and Tina’s. She headed up the strairs to Alice’s apartment and proceded to bang on her door. Alice was asleep face down in her pillow with her arms spread out on either side of her. She lifted her head up and looked around. Alice blew the hair out of her eyes and looked at her clock, she slamed her face back down and yelled into her pillow. “NO, NO, NO” she said as she finally got up and stomped through her apartment to the door. Alice flung open the door and yelled “NO” again knowing exactly who it was.

George: “Rise and shine!” she said letting herself in.

Alice: “What are you doing here?” she said folling George to the couch.

George: “My crazy mother is in town! For two weeks” she said ploping down onto the couch.

Alice sat down on the arm of the couch and stared at George.

Alice: “oh, I see.”

George: “I need to do something, it’s too early to drink”

Alice slyly looked around and wispered “Wanna get stoned?” George perked her head up and looked at Alice. “Yeah?” she questioned. “Yeah” Alice replied as she reached under the couch and grabbed a small wooden box. They smoked and George was finally relaxed, she crawled across the floor and layed down, sprawling her body out. Alice leaned back in her chair and put her feet up.

Alice: “So what’s the deal with your mom? What she doing here?”

George: “My brother got her a plane ticket for her so she could see my on my birthday.”

Alice: “Your brother? I didn’t know you guys had a brother”

George: “Yeah, he’s never been out here.”

Alice: “Well what is this mystery brother like?”

George: “Well let’s see. He is 26, and he is married. He isn’t really open minded like Tina and I are. We used to be pretty close when we were little. He was the sports star, Tina was the driven one and I was the freeloader.”

Alice and George chatted about their crazy families and other nonsence for hours. Before they knew it, it was late afternoon and George’s cell phone was ringing. “Mount Olympus, Home of the gods” she answered. “Hey mom, nevermind….what’s up…..yeah…yeah…that’s fine….what time is it now…..ok…..maybe, I don’t know…ok….see you then…love you too…bye.” George hung up the phone and looked at Alice. “What?” Alice said with a confused look on her face. “Get ready, we’re going to dinner!”
