    Author Notes:

    Just another love story from the beginning.

     

    She asks, “How is your schedule for this weekend, especially Saturday night?  The reason I am asking is because my friend Alice is having a surprise birthday party for Dana and I don’t have anyone to bring with me.  I was hoping you could keep me company?”  Inwardly thinking to herself, Tina hears her conscious say, ‘amongst other things as well’.

     

    Bette is instantly aware of Tina’s condition by the sound of her voice.  Bette’s body betrays her as it screams out for physical satisfaction; to be liberated from the boundaries of her carefully created existing world.  To savor in the complete fulfillment of ecstasy that triggers a need so deeply primitive of desire to be taken right there; knowing that Tina craves for her just as much.  Bette envisions Tina, her beautiful golden goddess laying on her bed, pleading without words, breathless with anticipation, revealing her need.  She recovers her shaken, weak voice to ask, “Are you asking me out on a date, Tina?”.  Not to confuse the situation any further, Tina bravely asks, “Bette, would you be my date this Saturday night?”.

     

    “Nothing would please me more, and I couldn’t be more happier, but I have one problem”.  Tina’s happiness quickly sinks within her chest at hearing the word, ‘but’.  The weight of her heavy heart brought a suffocation to her lungs; she couldn’t breathe.  She was drowning in her own despair; the more she struggled for her life, the faster she felt herself beginning to die.  Noticing the death silence coming through the line, Bette swiftly continues,

     

    “Tina, Saturday is a long time away, five days to be exact.  Couldn’t we see each other before than?”  As Bette anxiously awaits a response from Tina, she realizes that she is nervous; palms are sweating, heart is racing.  As far as she could remember, she has never being nervous.  She was the one always in control; a control that Tina was slowly taking away from her.  Bette realized that she was relinquishing that control to be one with the woman she loved.  Was she ready to surrender?

     

    “You had me worried there for a second.  I thought you didn’t want to see me again”, Tina whispers as she feels her lungs expand with much needed air; filling her spirit with hope once again as she breaks through the crystal glass ceiling surface to hold on to life.  Tina was suddenly consumed with the tingling feeling of peace and joyous contentment as it spread it’s energetic wings throughout the very fiber of her being.  She was happy.  For the first time in seven months, she was really feeling happy.  She smiled at the thought.

It’s weird when I was at the westminster dog show in nyc I was talking to a group of researchers from the CHF all about DNA research and medications and testing, I just though it was cool that that was in your story, Ok so I will stop boring you with my rambling
