    Just another love story from the beginning.

     

    The beginning of the rescue to the thankful end was being broadcasted for the universe to see; televised into the well kept secret of Mrs. Porters home.  Mrs. Porter reached for the phone resting on the ceramic night table, dialed and when the person on the other line answered, she said, Jonathan.  Book us on the first available flight to Los Angeles.  It seems as if my baby girl has gotten herself into a bit of trouble.  Jonathan knew exactly what she was referring to as he was also watching the screen with glued interest.  Yes my lady.  We will fly out tomorrow morning.  This was not Jonathans ideal way of visiting Bette or Kit as they did not want their lives to be disrupted, but due to tonights unforeseen circumstances, it will appear that the real existence of the Porter women will soon come to light.

     

    St. Patricks Hospital – 2:30 A.M. Present Time

     

    Four agonizing hours had passed and there was still no information on either Bettes or Kyles condition; no sign of Dr. Cartwright.  What is taken them so long?  Why isnt anyone telling us anything.  Alice, Dana, Kit and Shane did their best to ease Tinas fears by talking, replaying memorable stories of the friendships that they each individual shared with Bette, how much she has become part of the family within a short time frame and just thinking of happy thoughts; always thinking of the moments of when Bette made them smiled.  Kit pulled Tina into her arms and simply said, We all know Bette.  She is a fighter; she has a strong will to survive.  She has you Tina.  Tina didnt think it possible to shed more tears, but a stream of mist made another path down her face.

     

    As if being summoned from the cave of the dragons layer, Dr. Cartwright made his entrance into the emergency area where Bettes family was anxiously awaiting for her prognosis.  Tina jumped to her full length to stand in front of Antoine, the gang sat at attention in the chairs and they urgently waited.  I take it you are the family of Ms. Bette Porter.  It was more of a statement than a question.  Im Tina Kennard and we are all her family.  Antoines clothing didnt go unnoticed, the amount of blood staining the green suit was a testament of the amount of blood Bette lost and the amount they had to pump right back into her.  Trust me ladies, its not as bad as it appears to be.  Kit asked, How is she doctor?  Antoine thought it best not to relay the countless durations of losing Bette on the operating table or the constant prayer that was forever on replay in the minds and hearts of his staff.

    2. I actually have to agree with slipperynipple. I like this story and love how you don’t just rush through things (unlike IC & Co. since they only have a maximum of 60 minutes a week to play with), but I actually had to keep stopping while reading this so I wouldn’t wear myself out. Introducing the supernatural was a good idea seeing as it would take a miracle for someone to come out of an incident like that alive.

    5. I found your story today and spent my afternoon reading it. This is intriguing me. The thing I am most curious about is the little boy, something is weird with that situation. I am wondering if this is going to be an adventure like the movie “What dreams may come.” Will we find the little boy helping Tina face the Angel of Death? This story is also reminding me of Stephen king’s book “Rose Madder.” Although I really enjoy this story and your writing is great I would have to agree with slipperynipple about the length in certain parts. It can take away from the story. other than that I am enjoying it, please continue!

    6. Cool! I seem to be drifting into the dark side of the world lately. The fight between Tina and the Dark Lord was intriguing. The Angel of Life just seemed to stand their and let Tina fight for Bette. The only time that you saw it or it was mentioned was when they were running down the hall and that Angel was running beside Bette. It will take all that Tina can give to Bette to keep her alive. Please post soon.

    14. Ya know this will be the first time I will write this. The story is good but this was too much. I think I skipped to the ending. The middle took to long and took me along a path I was not very interested in. But believe me this does not mean that the story did not have the desired affect but sometimes less is more. Could of done without some of the death part and the construction site part. Thanks for the story

Three months and thirteen days……..three months and thirteen days is how long you had a woman waiting…(its this how you threat your women)…….LE0, three months and thirteen days………..BUT it was worth the wait………….This chapter by far is your best……The struggle that Tina is going through to keep Bette where she belongs is heart felt…………The fight that she has with the Angel of Death clearly shows how in love she is with Bette and how far she will go to keep her…………..Now PLEASE let Tina win this fight so we can find out the mystery about Bette and Kit………..WE want a happy ending………Now I’ll only waiting THREE HOURS AND THIRTEEN MINUTES this time…………Please continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    17. Leo, welcome back although it’s been WAY TOO LONG. What an ambitious and complex chapter, thank you! If you ever feel another writer’s block coming on consider writing a simpler 1 or 2 pager to keep the creative juices flowing and keep in touch with your readers.
