    “Do you honestly think there’s someone out there that’s going to just turn my entire life around?”

    Alice Pieszecki stood rather impatiently in the doorway of the newly remodeled YMCA center, tapping her foot as she awaited the brunette who was currently dragging her feet. She frustratingly took a sip from the over-sized straw of the over-sized lemonade she held in her hand and rubbed her swollen belly with the other as she felt her patience wearing thin.

    Her pregnancy was nearing its end and everything seemed to weigh down on her. The blazing heat and her less than enthusiastic best friend wasn’t helping the matter either.

    "Jesus Bette, could you walk any freaking slower? I’m pregnant and I move faster than you"

    The brunette pursed her lips and even though her eyes were covered by her very expensive designer sunglasses, it wasn’t hard for Alice to figure out that Bette was rolling her eyes.

    "This isn’t a competition, Al. In case you haven’t noticed, it’s a thousand fucking degrees out here and forgive me for not wanting to be a dripping mess when I get inside"

    "Language, Bette"

    Bette couldn’t help but roll her eyes again regardless of whether or not Alice could see. Since she became pregnant, Alice made it her personal mission to clean up Bette’s speaking habits. Despite how professional she was, the brunette had quite the potty mouth. She was notorious for dropping f-bombs and Alice wasn’t going to tolerate that around her baby boy.

    Bette let out a deep sigh as she followed Alice into the building, "Okay well it’s fudging hot in this fudging town and I feel like I’m fudging burning alive. How’s that?"

    "Perfect" Ever the giddy Alice smiled and made her way through the spacious lobby toward the elevators. Bette rolled her eyes with a smile and took off her sunglasses as she followed behind her pregnant best friend.

    Cool air blew from the vents and kissed Bette’s sweat slicked shoulders, making her shiver in delight. The air conditioned building was clearly doing its job and Bette felt her mood lightening extensively. She hated being hot, it made her cranky. In fact, everything made her cranky which was something Alice always teased her about. She often told Bette, "For someone who gets laid as much as you do, you’re not a very happy person"

    11. Janice is living in a dream world, Bette is not interested in her in this or any other universe. She needs to get over her little crush. No going there for Bette. But Tina is another thing all together, Bette is already there and Tina seems to be as well. Kevin is in the past. Love this story so far. Thanks for sharing.

    14. lol Bette is pussywhipped even though she knows Tina just for a few hours, Tina is “straight” and pregnant with someone else’s baby. Will be interesting to watch how this story goes.
