    How Alice met Shane and the chart was born.

    “I don’t know. How come I’ve never seen you before?” Shane asked back.

    “It’s a big city,” Alice said mater-of-factly.

    Shane chuckled, “Well, I guess that’s why you’ve never seen me before either… Oh shit…” Shane stopped walking, her eyes transfixed on two girls coming their way.

    “What? What?” Alice asked confused, never the kind of person who liked being left out of the loop.

    “Those two girls,” Shane pointed with a quick nod of her head, “Never called them back… Come on lets duck in here.” Shane took Alice’s hand and quickly led them into a small little diner at the corner of the street. They sat down in a booth near the window so they could see when they passed and it would be clear to leave again.

    “Wait, wait, wait! You slept with those girls?!” Alice asked as she leaned over her booth to look out the window, “They’re so gorgeous!”

    “Yeah, and the little red head is completely nuts.” Shane asked as she slinked down into her seat.

    “Really? Wow… I never would have known.” Alice was still staring out the window.

    “Would you sit down! They’re going to see you!” Shane said in a hushed but urgent tone.

    “Alright! Alright, no need to be pushy…” a small silence occurred as Alice sat back down in her seat “… So did you sleep with both of them at the same time?” Alice asked rather bluntly to break the silence.

    Shane looked up to meet Alice’s expectant eyes with a look that simply said “What the fuck? Are you really that blunt?”

    “No,” Shane said as she watched the girls get closer to the diner.

    “But you slept with both of them?”
    “Yes,” Shane kept her eyes trained out the window.

    “I don’t believe you… What are their names?” Alice asked crossing her arms with a shit eating grin on her face.

    “Candy and Karley… They’re sisters,” Shane sunk further into her seat, “Fuck…” Alice turned around to see the girls enter the diner.

    “Hey, Candy! Karley!” Alice shouted over to them.

    “What the fuck are you doing!?” Shane asked, eyes wide as she put he hand over her eyes in hopes that they wouldn’t see her.

    The girls turned towards Alice, “Do I know you?” The red head asked.

    5. What a fun little story!! Thank you so much for getting it out of your head and onto “paper”. You write both Shane and Alice very well. The scene at the diner was so funny. It seems very “Alice” that she would get distracted from sex by The Chart. Great first effort. I hope we see more from you, CalicoJill. Thanks!!
