Bette – It was good! She bought a painting.
Tina – Tell me about this very lesbian New Yorker.
Bette – She is actually Brit … and very flirty.
She takes another bite of food.
Tina – Are you trying to make me jealous?
Bette – Unh-unh.
She shakes her head.
Bette – She invited me to dinner tonight … and I said that my girlfriend was waiting for me.
Tina – You should have said impatiently waiting to strip you!
The brunette chuckles.
Tina – Is she beautiful?
Bette – Stunning, actually!
Tina – And you are not trying to make me jealous?
She takes a sip of her wine.
Bette – It’s the truth.
The blonde raises her eyebrows.
Tina – Have you been with her?
Bette – No. She is not my type.
She takes a sip of wine.
Tina – Why not?
Bette – I think we are too much alike.
Tina – Umm …then maybe I would be attracted to her.
Bette squints.
Bette – No, you wouldn’t!
The blonde laughs.

Bette’s living room, evening: Bette is lying on the couch when Tina comes in holding a glass of wine. She places the glass on the coffee table and sits on the edge of the couch.
Tina – Scooch in …
The brunette turns to her side, and spoons her girlfriend as she lies down next to her, wrapping her arm around the blonde’s waist and nuzzling her neck.
The blonde’s body … her warmth, her smell … feel like being in a sailboat in calm waters … total peace. Bette savors the moment with a quiet smile.
Tina – Sleepy?
Bette – Unh-unh. Just resting.
Tina – We filmed a scene on the flower field the other day.
Bette – The one where I found you tanning?
The blonde chuckles, looks back for a second.
Tina – I was not tanning!
Bette – Oh yeah … you were working!
Tina – I was taking a break. And you came in all smirks.
Bette – I was pissed that you couldn’t keep your naughty mare tied up.
Tina – Weren’t you happy to see me?
Bette – I was trying to stay away from you at the time … and failing at it!

Thank you for the post!! I was impatiently waiting as always. I’d personally love to see bette surprise tina with a return visit to the set. I imagine they’d still be kept a secret so it would be interesting to see what those two get up to!

May not be an easy transition for Tina. And wondering would Bette have turned down Helena if Tina wasn’t at home waiting.. I sure hope she would have restained..I have a feeling with their to lifes, they will be apart alot and need that trust. Which looks to be hard for Tina just from the conversation with Alice the wheels are turning. And Bette did not tell Tina that Helena wanted dinner in her room..more than a filtration, it was more of an imply. Great chapter.. im sure they will work this all out . Thank you
