    Well, Maybe. – Chapter 2

There was a little talk while they drove to the restaurant. “You know, I’m not Ms. I can’t-live-without-tennis, but I did  watch your games. I mean, my friend Serena is your huge fan. She would really envy me if she find out I had a dinner with you.” As soon as Alice finished the sentence, there was a little interruption. Dana’s cell was ringing. “I’m sorry, I think it’s my manager.” Dana quickly answer the phone with apologetic expression.

“Hey, what’s the emergency??!” Dana said, slight annoyance in her voice. “Hi, Dana. It’s Bette. Well, I just wanna say hi. Sorry it’s not the emergency, but I missed you. You didn’t show up lately.” Bette said.

“Well, It seems like everybody miss me. But Bette… can I talk to you later? I am actually now… umm, well… in a real emergency.” Dana said with a small voice. “Oh, really? I think I heard that you have a date instead of a training today.” Bette chuckled. “Jesus, Shane told you already?” Dana grumbled. “Yeah, you know that Yoda knows all. So…you’re dating with her? Is that why you’re in REAL emergency?” Bette laughed really hard that she has to wipe the tears. “Okay…laugh your fucking ass off.” Dana pouted. “Oh, babe I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that.” Bette said, trying hard to press her laugh. “It’s okay. So can I talk to you later? I think I’m almost arrived.” Dana couldn’t hide her happiness. “Okay, I bet she’s really hottie, isn’t she? Unless you never call it an emergency. Anyways, good luck, Dana!” With that, she hung out.

As soon as the car parked, Dana opened the door for Alice. “Wow, thank you. It’s great. I haven’t eaten Korean before.” The blonde seemed excited. “Yeah, they’re great. I like spicy. You should come here sometimes.”

“Oh and sorry about the earlier. I guess you were boring. It was my friend.” Dana remarked without thinking. “It’s okay. I mean, how could I get boring? I’m an emergency. It can’t be bored.” Alice laughed as Dana’s face turned red. “Hey, I’m just joking. I think that was cute.” Dana’s already redden face get more redder.

The dinner went really comfortable. Both women couldn’t believe just how fast the time passed. When they heading their car to go home, Dana found herself falling more into Alice. This blonde was really funny, smart and sexy. And has nice cleavage. Oh, the sexiest ass too. She felt so relaxed to have the blonde around, well, except when Alice smiled sexy which drove her crazy. She SO wants to ask her out again, but the problem was, that she didn’t have a gut to. Finally checking the bill, Dana opened her mouth.

“Umm… Alice… I… I know you’re busy and everything but… will you… I mean… Jesus, would you like to have a coffee sometime? I mean… we should talk about the apartment…” Dana stammered as she gave Alice a goofy, nervous grin. “Sure. How about tomorrow morning? Say 10ish? I don’t know if I could make earlier.” Alice smiled. Is she interested in her? The famous, cute and sexy tennis player Dana Fairbanks?

“Oh, that’d be great. Do you know The Planet? The café near my apartment?”

“Yeah, I’d seen this afternoon. So you’re asking me to go out, huh?” Alice raised her eyebrow. “Well, yeah… if you say so. Hey, come here. I’ll get you home.” Dana blushed, thanking that it was dark. “Thank you.” Alice chuckled, already dying for tomorrow morning.

    1. Yes, we are all still here. Just because IC killed D does not mean we will give up on them. What can I say, there was magic between the two and imo, no other character can ever replace D. Another great post from you, shanealice! Was Bette really D’s manager? or D was just guessing who the caller was. I like the emergency excuse and also the fact that D was “striking the iron while the iron’s hot.” Thank you very much.

    2. Welcome, shanealice!! Great start. I am sorry I did not comment on the first post. Love the friendship between Dana and Shane. And I would like to add my name to the list of folks to help Alice with the scary bedroom. This chapter was great, too. The date went just about as well as it could. Love that Dana is making moves. Can’t wait to see where the story goes next. Thanks!!
