    The saga of Helebette continues. I know, I can’t believe I’m writing this story either…

    She took Helena’s silence and questioning glance as permission to continue.

     
     

    "If you’ve wanted me for so long, whywhy did you end up with Tina?"

     
     

    "I had an inkling this topic would come up at some point," Helena sighed. "I just didn’t think it would be so soon."

     
     

    "I’m sorry, we can just enjoy the afternoon," Bette said apologetically. "Last night was great, it’s just that your revelation was such a shock to me."

     
     

    "Don’t think I haven’t tried to figure out the answer for myself Bette," Helena said. "This has been the very topic of conversation at therapy on several occasions in the last year."

     
     

    "Always fascinating to hear I’m inspiring the need for therapy," Bette said trying to lighten the darkening mood between them.

     
     

    "What I told you was true," Helena began. "The direction of the Foundation was changing. Funding decisions aren’t entirely mine you know. I have a board to answer to."

     
     

    "I recall you were trying to make this argument work for me once before," Bette replied. "But why fund the project of my ex and leave the arts completely out if you were interested in winning me over?"

     
     

    "I didn’t know she was your ex at that time Bette," Helena said. "The decisions were already made by the time you arrived to meet with me in New York. I had pushed for Tina’s grant to be accepted because I thought that was what little I could do to appease you for the denial of your own proposal."

     
     

    "And when you showed up at the center for your publicity tour?" Bette asked.

     
     

    "It was the first I learned that you two weren’t together any longer," Helena replied. "And also my first personal interaction with you. Didn’t go very well, did it?"

     
     

    "If looks could kill, the world would have mourned your loss that day," Bette replied truthfully.

     
     

    "But the passion that you spoke with was exactly what I saw in you previouslywhat had attracted me to you," Helena said. "It didn’t make me want you less to know you were so full of venom because of something I did."

    11. I think that Helena needs to return to theorphy because she is still trying to have what Bette once had in an attempt to perhaps imbody her. First Tina, then Alice and now the creme de le creme Bette. Bette needs to step back and reaccess this situation. Sometimes in attempt to flee a situation or get back at someone, we become that that we hate or are running away from. We allow ourselves to so thiungs that we would not normally do. I am not really convinced that this is a new and improved Helena and I don’t think that Helena really believes it either. JKS, the bottom line is that I am down with B&T and B&H do not really enter my mind as logical especially after S1. Your writting is supreb, but I am not buying what Helena is selling.

Oh god, I think IC did her job in ruining the Tina character so well that even the diehard Tibetters are writing her as the biggest cold bitch ever.. (anyway I still love Tina, she’s just lost her mind like Bette did by the end of S1, she’ll come around… hopefully) Helena and Bette are H.O.T but I have a lil question, is Bette having too much sex with Helena cuz it’s a way to escape the fact that Tina doesn’t desire her or lets say didn’t desire her for the last 8 months and that she’s trying to get an ego boost or something??

This story is outstanding – I echo Seahursts comments on that its totally about the writing – there are authors who have tried this pairing and I don’t believe (without being negative about their writing) they have achieved the believability as you have achieved. Also, although none of us are aware how the personality transition happened in the last 6 months for Helena, what I really like in what you have done is that although Helena wants Bette like nothing she has ever wanted before, she is waiting, giving her space and time and more importantly she is listening to her and communicating with her. Just great.

    48. Hey JKS is definitely helps that Tina is being a complete moron in this story. Unlike many I really can’t say she’s all together wrong in the show. I think they both deserve to be smacked upside their heads as far as their roles in that relationship go. But as for this story Tiná deserves all the shit that she gets. I was kind of losing my loving feeling for HeleBette cause I too felt bad for Tina. So if it’s at all possible don’t let me forget that she’s slowly breaking Bette’s heart. Thanks

    53. This story proves that it is all about the writing. With great writing anything is possible. Don’t think you are betraying Tina. She has clearly made her choices…and the fact that she would even invite someone else into their home, just so she can perpetuate the cheating…to me says that all bets are off. Honestly…how cold of a heart she has to invite this person, male or female into Bette’s home. If she wants to keep cheating on Bette, that is her choice, but have the decency to do it somewhere else…not in the home you have spent eight years in with your partner. Sorry…that is beyond cold to me. I am such a Bette and Tina advocate, yet you prove with every chapter that it truly is all in the writing, because with your magical writing in this story, I am rooting for Bette and Helena all the way. I can’t wait to see how these two alphas can conbine their powerful personalities and be a true force to be reckoned with!!
