Images of her flood my head, her silken hair that falls in waves around her shoulder. I dream of her golden eyes that turn a smoky brown when she gets mad, that are so clear when she smiles. My heart beats to a faster rhythm, my pulse races just thinking about her about her touch her smile. This heat rushing through me, warming every inch and I want to see her just once more.

I see her laughing, her voice musical contagious. Her hair blowing in the wind and I can feel that urge to touch her to kiss her, to taste her lips. The way her arms fall to her side as she spins around, her hips swaying to the beat of a song that only she can hear. And I feel cold suddenly, the loud roaring sound of the water the cool spray falling on me.

“Hey wake up,” his hand on my shoulder shaking her out of my head. “Come we gotta go…come on, we have to go.”

A pale black sky outlines him making him nothing more than a shadow. He keeps his hand on me, looking over his shoulder nervously. The night slowly giving way to the morning light and I can hear the sound that has him so scared. The bright blinding light from the car that cold chill running down my spine, squeezing my chest so that I can’t breath. The loud thud of the car door, and he stands ready to run waiting for his chance. A large silhouette, distorted into monsters that use to haunt my dreams when I was younger. He stands tall, large we can’t see his eyes only our own. A scar over his eyes, protruding out over the sunglasses and I don’t know what to think. He smiles this warm strange smile, his hands in his pockets his jacket hanging open.

“Hi…I’m Jax.” his voice low growling like a bears, “I’m here to help.”

I’ve heard that line before, getting pretty old but for some reason I believe him. That was a fucking mistake…her smooth calming voice bringing back from that day from that world. My past is my future, and I can’t run from it anymore.

“Shane wake up we have to go…we have to meet with Jax today.” her smooth liquid voice making it all go away and I couldn’t do this without her.
