View from a Tangent….Chapter 20
He was not what Bette expected. Thin, pale almost white blond hair slicked like a pancake on his slightly red face. Eyes so blue Bette couldnt say she knew the name. Dressed impeccably in an Amoretti pinstriped suit with an overcoat. Shoes black as coal and obviously polished. Talldefinitely a girth.and under the suit Bette could see he worked out.
But it was his hands that scared Bette the mostthat made her drop the newspaper and let it flutter onto to the road. Longveryvery long thick fingershis actual hand was wide and veiny and hairy and his wrist was thick. They twitched slightly against his leg as if he was filled with nervous energy.
Bette looked back up at his face but he was no longer looking at herinstead he picked up a newspaper and saluted her with his left hand…and then started to walk briskly down the streethe looked like some kind of Barrister or broker or something. Bette was expected a big brown monster with horns.
While daddy was walking farther and farther away Bette stood stock still staring at him as he was getting lost in the crowd. Every single nerve in her body feeling like it was twitching uncontrollablyher brain sparking and dilating and explodingshe started to shakeshivering even though the air was warm. And then she grew angry.
Enough time had gone by so that the old Bette creeped little by little into her that she felt almost normal. How dare he the ***** just leave like that? How dare he SALUTE me???? Stupid ***** im gonna kill him im gonna expose himand with head held very high Bette started half-trotting down the street slowly catching up with daddywhose overcoat fluttered like some kind of cape..
When she was about five feet away from him she started to yellhey ***** why dont you turn around and face me huh? You ***** ***** you ***** loser you rap-
Before she could finish cussing him daddy suddenly turned into a narrow alleyway and briskly walked down that waysoon disappearing around a corner…
Bette stood in the alleywaypeople gave her ***** looks and shook their headsevery single cell in her body told Bette not to go followher womans intuition screamed at her to get help go to the police ANYTHING but followbut this Bette was stubborn like an ox and she ran headlong into the alleyway, brain still bursting with a white hot angeranger at daddy
She turned around the corner and was met with a cracking blow to her mouth. daddy was waiting around the cornerthe corner he turned into was an empty parking lotnot underground though.
He grabbed her hair and with the other hand around her neck he leaned heavily into her and both of them went crashing down onto the concreteBette was frozen with fear frozen frozen frozen this was her nightmare all over again this was what she woke up in the night shivering from.
He sat on her with each thigh beside her head each hand holding her arms against the ground with Bettes legs frozenshe-could-not-move.he leaned downand began to talk

ANother great chapter please continue I hope B & T can overcome this together and “daddy” gets what’s coming to him!
Come on time for Bette to open up to Tina, I hate seeing her in this position, she’s been through so much, let some love and joy in, huh PLEASE, PRETTY, PRETTY PLEASE!
Oh, please, please let Bette tell Tina what really happened. She’s going to need all the support she can get if she’s ever going to recover from this. I am so engrossed in this story now that I check every chance I get just to see if you’ve posted again…Thanks.
Really good chapter. Still how can Tina keep seeing Bette so beat up or cuts, bruises and not know Bette is not telling her the truth.
