Unforgivable
How the hell could she do this to me? Everything was so perfect. We were going to be, Mrs. and Mrs. Mccutchen and everything was going to be great. We were going to get our own place, have a few kids…maybe a dog, the perfect family… but lifes not prefect and good things dont really happen now do they? No. At least not when it comes to me. I should have known it was too good to be true… I should have seen this comming….
"Shane…?" Alice says softly, Jenny right behind her, snapping their friend out of her daze. "Are you ready to go?"
Shane doesnt say anything. Instead, she stays seated in the same spot shes been in since she got the news, starring at the pair of rings thay were supposed to exchange nearly four hours ago.
"Shane…." Jenny begings, but stops short when looks up at her with tear filled eyes and opens her mouth to speak. It was the firt time she moved since the non-wedding.
"How could she do this to me Jen? What did i do wrong? What the fuck did i do wrong?"
Jenny sits next to her friend and places a han on her back, rubbing it, trying to console her bestfriend.
"You can’t blame yourself for this, Shane. You did everything right. Theres no telling whats going on in her head. What Carmen did was wrong. It’s unforgivable."
Shane didnt say anything. They just sit in silence, at the end of the aisle where Shane was supposed to get married, for another ten minutes.
Alice comes and sits next to them and says," Come on Shane, we need to get back to the Hotel and pack so we’re not late for the plane."
Shane gets up, clutching the rings that were supposed to be exchanged, and heads to the hotel with Alice and Jenny.

Leaning on the wall, shane slides her key card into the door and walks into her room. She grabs her suitcase and throws her clothes in, leaving them whichever way they fall. Zipping up her suitcase, she falls face first onto the bed, exhausted from all the emotions running through her. Face in the pillows, she inhales, letting out a sigh. Realizing the pillow stilled smelled of Carmen, she begins to cry uncontrollably. It was the first time since Dana’s death, that she actually cried.
