    Alex and Marissa visit Alex’s old hangout in LA. In The Planet, they meet Alex’s old friends.

    Come on, I want you to meet some people, Alex said as she lead Marissa down the sidewalk of the busy LA street.

    Where are we going? Marissa asked her girlfriend as she tried to keep up. For about a year, Alex Kelly and Marissa Cooper had been going out in their hometown of Newport Beach for a couple of months before they had been outed at one of Julie Cooper-Nichols lavish parties. They were making out in the kitchen of Calebs mansion when almost all of Newports elite walked in on them. So much for keeping it a secret. After that, they had found it hard to find a privet moment alone because of all the people coming up to them in the clubs and restaurants asking questions.

    Ever since they had started going out, Alex had wanted Marissa to meet her friends. Marissa had hesitated at first, but now that she had came out to everyone in Newport, she figured it was time to meet these friends Alex was always raving about. They had taken a road trip to LA for the weekend, back to where Alex used to live, back to her old friends and old flames.

    They had driven down the night before and stayed in Alexs old apartment. Her old roommate had yet to show up when they left this morning. Alex hadnt expected Shane to come home but she knew where to find her in the morning; at their old hangout, the Planet.

    What if your friends dont like me? asked Marissa.

    They will, I promise! replied Alex with a smile. Alex squeezed Marissas hand to give her the encouragement she needed.

    So what is this place? Marissa asked as they walked into the crowded caf.

    A coffee house and local hotbed for gossip. Come on. Alex said as she led Marissa towards the back. There she spotted Shane sitting on a couch sipping at her coffee and talking with Alice. Alex led Marissa to where they were sitting.

    Hey guys! Alex exclaimed when they got to the couch.

    Alex! replied Shane and Alice at the same time. Shane got up and hugged Alex before Alex and Marissa sat down.

    Hey! I thought you were in Newport? asked Alice as Alex and Marissa sat in two chairs across from the couch.
