Two Words
Two words
Two words. Just two words. I hear them and my mind instantly goes to mush. I get weak in the knees. My stomach flips, my heart palpitates. My body turns to liquid. My mouth waters and other areas moisten.
Maybe its her voice, that sweet ***** voice, loud or in a whisper, it doesn’t matter. Or maybe its because only she says these words to me.
And whats funny is I react the same way no matter how she is using them.
She calls and its her greeting to me. She rolls over in our bed and gently kisses my back as she says these words. She asks me what I want for dinner she starts with these words.
Whether she is asking for something, or trying to get my attention. If she is saying them in the car, as we eat dinner, or in the bed my body responds the same.
Sometimes I pray she doesn’t say them. If she calls and Im in a meeting or at work. I just know others that are in my company at the time can see how I react. My face is flush Im sure. I know they can hear my heart beating or see it pound out of my chest.
I see the caller ID and I silently wish. Please don’t do this to me I beg in my mind. But she says the words just as I am wishing her not to.
When I hear her say them I wonder why in the world why wouldn’t I love hearing this from her. It makes me smile.
If I’m having a ***** day, if I am feeling moody whatever is going on, hearing her say these two words makes it all better. Like that kiss on your boo boo your mom used to give you when you were four years old. Those words patch all. They make me happy; they make my heart flutter with love for her.
The love I feel for her is immeasurable. It is the best thing in my life. But when I hear her speak these words to me……..the sky is bluer, the clouds disappear, and I can hear nothing else.
I want to record this voice in my head so I can always hear how she says this. I want no other noises to interfere. Just her, in this moment.
The phone rings………I see its her calling, already my heart is racing, my mouth starts watering
Pavlovs dog I am……responding without even answering it yet. God the anticipation is too much…….I answer and I hope and I pray…….please say it……..I know she will she always does…….I answer and I say
Hello?
Hey baby..aahhshe says this in that ***** voice of hersshe has no idea what this does to me. god those two words.
Im in heaven……..is she still saying something? I don’t know Im gone…..she could ask anything of me at this moment and I would say yes. God I love her so much.
And with those two words I hear all the love she has for me….I feel all the love she has for me with the tone of her voice.
I silently thank god I have her.
It echoes in my head…………………
Hey baby………….hey baby…………………hey baby………………………..aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

As I was reading this, in my mind I was thinking what two words would have that affect on me if someone I loved said them. And as I thought about it, those same two words came into my head. “Hey Baby.” Glad to see someone else feels the same way. It’s not the words themselves, but who is saying them.
Hope your muse knows this so we see many more posts from you!
Does it count if it’s from a fan? “Hey baby” More soon please.
