Shane: Since when is polite an issue among family?

Bette smiled and pulled out a six pack of coolers.

Bette: And I got some bottled Root Beer.

She put it on the table.

Bette: Didn’t want her to feel left out.

Alex walked out.

Alex: Thanks a lot Bette.

Alex smiled and went over and took a seat on the couch.

Bette and Kit each took a beer and sat down, Shane got up, got some cards and opened a beer.

Shane: Liquor in the front, Poker in the rear! What you guys say?

Bette: Everytime.

Kit: I am in!

Shane: Carmen should be rollin’ in around midnight so we got an hour to kill.

Bette: She’s coming back tonight?

Shane nodded.

Shane: She wanted to be back as soon as possible to make sure her baby was okay!

Shane looked over at Alex.

Shane: And it is a Playboy party so she’ll be pretty horny after wards.

Alex: MOM!

Shane: Sorry forgot you were here, and my daughter.

Shane dealt and they played until Carmen walked in, looking enthusiastic.

Carmen: Hey guys!

Shane shed her, pointing to Alex who was out cold on the couch. Shane got up and lifted the girl into her arms. Carmen came over and gave her a kiss on the forehead and Shane brought her to her room. Shane came back and greeted Carmen with a kiss. Carmen lept into her arms and gave her a huge hug.

Carmen: I missed you baby!

Shane: I missed you too.

Carmen looked over to see Bette and Kit.

Carmen: Oh my god! You guys!

Carmen gave them hugs.

Kit: We were just in town, I was doing a show.

Carmen: It’s so good to see you!

Bette: You too and I’m glad I got to meet Alex. Wow, what a great kid.

Carmen: Thanks

She dropped her shoulders.

Carmen: She’s too much like Shane!

Shane: She’s YOUR biological daughter.

Kit: Girl, she’s YOUR Twin. Oh but she’s got Carmen’s face!

Carmen and Shane laughed and Shane put her arm back around Carmen, grasping her waist.

Kit: And look at the two of you! Almost two years and you’re still crazy in love! I bet you two still go at it like they do on the discovery channel!

Bette: Ask Alex, I’m sure she’ll tell you!

Shane laughed.

Carmen: Shane you did not bring up our sex life in front of her again did you?

Shane shrugged.

Carmen: You know how much she hates that.

Shane: Hey, it was funny!

Bette: So Carmen, poker you in?

Shane: Liquor in the front….

Bette, Kit and Carmen together: Poker in the rear! Shane, we know.

Shane laughed, loving spending time with her friends again.

Bette: Well you guys have done a great job. She’s an amazing person.

Shane: Thanks a lot guys.

Carmen smiled and kissed Shane on the cheek.

Kit: It’s good to see the three of you so happy together.

Carmen smiled and joined in and they played the night away!
