Tina came out of the bathroom just as Sarah was hanging up.
Tina: “Who was it?”
Sarah: “Oh just one of those calls about you changing your long distance company.”
Tina: “Oh ok.”
Sarah: “I should go so you can rest. We both have early days tomorrow.”
Sarah kissed Tina goodnight and left.
Once in the car she hoped she didn’t look guilty. But she didn’t worry about it for long her mind went to a more important question. What the ***** was Bette calling for?
Meanwhile inside Tina got comfortable and sat on her bed. She dialed the number and was anxious for Bette to answer. Bette was just getting into bed to study some work on her laptop when the phone rang. Bette: “Hello?” Tina: “Hey how did your first day go?”

Bette: “Hi T, my first day was good. But it got even better when I found your generous basket of goodies on my porch. Thank you, it’s so sweet of you.”
Tina: “You’re welcome. I just thought you could use some pampering. I know moving and the new job, and well seeing everyone again, has been stressful on you.”
Bette: “Thank you, I’m fine.”
Tina: “Answer a question for me?”
Bette: “Of course.”
Tina: “Does your work still come first?”
Bette: “Tina it never came first. I know it seemed like it at times. But to answer your question, no it doesn’t. I’ve lived and learned.”
Tina: “Good, I hope I didn’t upset you by asking that.”
Bette: “I’m not upset. You can ask me anything you want at anytime.”
Tina: “I must say Bette, I remember a time me saying that about your work would have sent you into a rant.”
Bette: “I know, I remember too. But I have changed.”
Tina: “I’m beginning to see some changes for sure.”
Bette: “So, do you need more proof?”
Tina: “I’m sure the proof will come as we continue to get to know one another again.”
Bette: “I’m sure it will. My turn to ask you a question.”
Tina: “Ok, go ahead.”
Bette: “Do you and Sarah live together?”
Tina: “No, why do you ask?”
Bette: “Well because when I called to thank you earlier Sarah answered your phone.”

I am so glad you posted again tonight. Maybe if Tina is angry enough with Sarah, she will boot her to the curb and make a beeline to Bette. God, how I love those two women together. I am loving your story as well.

I love the way you show us right before the total frankness of Bette, ready to answer to any and every questions from Tina. This makes such a nice contrast with Sarah’s current behaviour ! Just the ideal way to bring our sweet Tina closer and closer of her never-forgotten-beloved…

Finally got all caught up with this wonderful story. Love it. Now Tina needs to tell Sarah to “step off bitch”.
Goldfish, that was excellent! Sarah really is digging herself in deeper and deeper. Will she tell another lie to cover this lie? Will she apologize hoping that T will forgive her? What’s done is done. She knows how Bette’s betrayal caused B & T’s relationship to end and here she is “betraying” Tina. When you’re in a relationship, it’s easy to be blind to what you can see so clearly if you were not involved. So, what Sarah did was very believable real.
I loved the open conversation between B & T and how it flowed. Really looking forward to the BBQ and more importantly B & T’s date on Sunday.
I’m really wondering what you have up your sleeve for Sawyer. There’s a lot of potential there…

Okay, I am doing the happy dance that Tina found out about the phone call from Bette. I am with Tina on this one. I can stand a lot of sh-t, but I cannot tolerate anyone lying to me. As Vanilla Ice one said, “Drop the zero (Sarah) and get with a hero (Bette).” Ah, I had to chuckle at that one myself :-) Loving your story!

Sarah is so done, you should turn her over! Girlfriend did it to herself! Well, it was just a matter of time anyway. I don’t think Sarah will be coming to the barbeque at Bette’s on Saturday. But, I think you should have her weasel out of this mess so that she can come to the barbeque and make a big big scene and get put out – permanently! (how’s that for a story idea).
Go Bette, it’s your birthday…Get Tina, it’s your birthday (I’m doing the ‘Cabbage Patch’ dance while I sing this. Yes, it’s late and I’m getting silly.) Time to call it a night. Maybe I’ll get a bag of your crackers and go to bed.

what the hell is Tina mad for, she should be mad at herself. Sarah has been nothing but good to her. if Tina already confirm she still in love with Bette. she should let Sarah go. she herself say has to be fair to Sarah.

Sarah realizes where Tina’s heart really belongs and knows that she cannot compete….so she LIED! Time to kiss Sarah good-bye. But, this Sawyer person could be good…a little jealousy on Tina’s part might make her wake up!
Hey Sarah Nah, nah,nah,nanny, nah, Bette told Tiiiina. Not only did Sarah lie to Tina, she lied to Bette about Tina. Sarah will continue to paint herself into a corner, because once she admits to lying she will be forced to admit that she lied about Tina being at the grocery store. Keep digging that ditch Sarah.
I love that B&T are really talking very openly now about everything. This bodes very well for the BBQ, because Tina will feel less treaten by Sawyer. Now who can we pair Sawyer with, some suggest Sarah, but I think that Claire would be a better match. Okay Goldfish, on with the story, and by the way, this was anexcellent chapter :o)

Busted!!!! Now, how did she ever think that Bette wouldn’t ask Tina if she got her message. Sarah needs to give it up, and go hang out with Tina’s sister, since they have a comfortable relationship. I’m sure it’ll be weird for Tina, but oh well, as long as she has Bette back, who cares?!

Tina’s mind was whirling with emotion. Did Sarah forget to tell her? She didn’t want Bette to know she was upset by this so she forgot about it until she could think and talk to Sarah. Tina hung up and thought of why Sarah would lie to her. Why didn’t she tell her Bette had called? Maybe she forgot. No she out right lied to her. She told her it was the long distance company calling.
Ohhhhhh Gawd…..Tina, dont be so dumb! Stay focused! She LIED to you! And at this point it shouldnt matter why she LIED. Remember, Sarah didnt try to prevent this forest fire…..extenquish her and get back to Bette!
Kinda feel bad for Sarah, not. She’s gotta know that Tina’s heart has always belonged to Bette. Like, Tina wouldn’t talk to Bette and find out she called. SArah, tah,tah. So sweet Tina sent the basket, so Bette could relax, and drink tea and think of Tina. Come on with the next update, I so think Tina should not take Sarah to the BBQ.
