    Author Notes:

    five years after the fall of B&T

     

    Bette:  “NO..she is my assistant and well she’s the one that helped me when I was being attacked.  So I feel I owe her.  Plus she is so nice and she is new in town and I hate the thought of her home alone.”

    Tina laughed. 

    Tina:  “Claire if it wasn’t for Sawyer Bette might have been hurt worse or even killed by my ex.  We that is Bette and I feel we owe her that’s all.”

    Claire:  “Well I want to thank her myself for saving my friend; I really don’t know what I’d do with out you Bette.”  She took her hand and patted Bette’s hand…

     

    Tina watched and decided it was an innocent pat. She continued to watch and so far thought Claire was just as Bette had said a good friend.  She hoped it continued this innocent.

     

    They arrived at Bette’s.  Bette helped take Claire’s things to the bedroom.  Tina went to the kitchen and was making a list of things she was going to need from the grocery.  Bette came out and gave her a big hug.

     

    Bette:  “So babe what do you think, isn’t she great?”

    Tina:  “Yes she seems great Bette, she’s very nice.  I like her.  And she’s gorgeous too.”

    Bette:  “Yes, but not as gorgeous as you.”  She took Tina in her arms again and kissed her passionately.

     

    Claire walked in as they were kissing.  Claire watched a moment before letting her presence be known.  She watched them kiss and watched the look on Bette’s face.  She knew in that moment Bette was with the person she was meant to be with.  In her own mind she knew she had to let go of the romantic notions she had for Bette.   Maybe she would stay in LA and find herself some happiness.  Claire coughed uneasily to let them know she was there.

     

    Bette:  “Oh sorry Claire.  We got lost in the moment.”

    Claire:  “Hm, it’s quite alright Bette, you two look so happy.”

    Tina:  “We are.  Finally.”

    Bette:  “Yeah finally.  So we are making a list for the grocery.  Anything you want to add, anything you’ve missed since you have been out of the states?”

     

    Claire:  “Hmmnot really.  Maybe just some California wine and some American beer.”  She laughed. “I used to love to find good California wine, but in Paris they frown upon drinking American wine you know.”

    7. Well, this seems to be a good start for Sawyer and Claire. Glad that you have Claire give up any romantic notions on Bette and is making the effort to put Tina at ease. I’m liking her. You’re doing fine, goldfish. Keep doing what you’re doing. Have Bette and Tina continue to build on their relationship…continue the story on Sawyer and Claire…

    16. Hey Gold…great chapter. I’m glad Claire has let Bette go. She seems to be attracted to Sawyer and vice versa. I think it’s cute how B & T have “set up” this dinner for them to get better acquainted. Wonder how dinner is going to go…LOL. Thanks for the update Gold.

    19. Great chapter, I am happy that Tina was able to deal with her jealousy so well. I had a feeling that Claire and Sawyer would hit it off. Seeing that Claire liked Bette and Sawyer has some of the same charateristic as Bette, it was almost automatic. I hope that they get together and Claire stays in LA. The fact they they are both new in town and HOT, will mean that they will be fresh meat at the clubs and the Planet. They both had better stake their claims early. Goldie, you never fail to please and I knew that I could count on you girl, great job, please continue :o)

    21. Hey there… I kept waiting for a lull in this chapter–a dead zone…you say this was just filler? Hmmm…didn’t see it that way at all, babe. I enjoyed the interaction between all of them and feel like chapters like this add to the integrity of the story. I enjoyed reading it and, of course, continue to think you are pretty amazing too!     22. Let’s take a wait and see attitude because Claire really has not given up on the idea of Bette she is just saying so to try and convince herself and everyone else. She still loves Bette or she would not be there. I only hope Bette will refrain from any action on her part towards Claire. I don’t trust Claire at all.Thanks for this post and post soon please.

    24. Hi goldie! Sorry for being away for so long. My computer decided to mess with me for a little while. It’s fun catching up though. So much has happened! I’m glad that Psycho Sarah was put away, hopefully for good. It’s great for Tina to finally meet Claire and that they’re both getting along well. Can’t wait to see how Claire and Sawyer’s relationship develops. Maybe Claire will seriously consider moving to LA. Thanks, goldie. Great job!! :)
