Tina went and got some clothes out of the drawer she had gotten Bette’s clothes from earlier. She changed and crawled into bed with Bette. She took Bette in her arms and kissed her.
Tina: “How does this feel? Tell me if I’m hurting you.” She spooned up against Bette.
Bette: “This feels like heavengoodnight my angel.”
Tina: “This feels like home..goodnight baby.”
To Live Again, To Love Again Chapter 15
Tina woke up and watched Bette sleeping peacefully. She was careful not to wake her and got out of the bed. She went to the kitchen to fix them some breakfast. She made the coffee, and some juice and all she found were eggs to cook.
Bette woke up to the smell of coffee. She started to stretch and get out of bed when the pain hit her. She cried out.
Bette: “FFFUUUUCCKKKK!!!”
Tina came running. Bette then remembered what the ***** had happened the night before.
Tina: “Are you ok? What happened?”
Bette: “I started to get up and pain shot thru my body. God my ribs are killing me. My leg and arm are throbbing. Jesus, I hurt all over.”
Tina: “Take it easy sweetie. Let me help you.”
Tina pulled back the covers and went to help Bette up. She looked down at Bette’s leg. The wound had bleed during the night and had soaked thru her bandage and pajama pants.
Tina: “We have to clean that and re bandage it. Your arm too.”
Bette: “Ok, I think I’m going to need you to help me.”
Tina: “Of course.”
Bette started to pull her pajama pants off. She sat on the edge of the bed. Once they were off. Tina helped her to the bathroom and sat her on the side of the tub.
Tina got the water and antiseptic soap the doctor told them to wash it with. She started with her arm. The bandage was stuck a bit and she soaked with the water to take it off. The stitches looked good. She washed it carefully and dried it well. Then she moved to the stab wound on her thigh.
She gently let the water soak thru the bandage and peeled it off. Tina couldn’t help but notice Bette’s beautiful leg. She let the wash cloth drip the water onto it. Gently washing the wound. Bette winced once or twice but told Tina she was ok. Tina was being so careful and gentle. Bette took her hand and brought it to her lips. She kissed the caring hand that was taking care of her. Thoughts of just how gentle Tina’s hand could be drifted in her mind she looked into Tina’s eyes.

Certainly hope that Bette and Claire will NOT give Tina anything to be jealous of. Bette never seems to relize that her actions sometimes makes Tina jealous of the other woman. Leave them in peace and together, please. Let Claire see that her affections are not needed by Bette.
Clair coming to America – oh no. No, no…on second thought, oh yes. It’ll be interesting too see how Tina will handle this. Thanks for posting.

This was so nice, Tina taking care of Bette. The kissing, the sitting between Tina’s legs, discussing the past, slowly heading towards the future. Claire’s coming. Somehow I don’t think we need to worry, she knows how Bette feels about Tina, and the new and improved Tina, I got a feeling she’ll be playing for keeps.

Claire seems so understanding whenever she and Bette are on the phone talking; and she seems to want the best for Bette, even if the best is having Tina back. Will she still seem so understanding once she finally arrives to L.A.?

It seems that they are already headed in the same direction, with the same intentions. Sarah gave them their first boost, now with Claire coming into town, I’m sure Tina’s going to want to reclaim her wife, to eliminate any others from trying to put in a claim. It’d be nice if Tina and Claire could become friends. Post again, soon, please.

That’s a way to think I fully relate to ! Memories for the future, that’s beautiful… Some timeless pieces of past, forever living in our mind and heart, polished by emotions…
And your chapter is fulfilled with heady power of memories, slowly surrounding the present, beginning to create a strong future : the “addiction” never stopped, in fact, and was so ready to live again – like glowing embers…
The way Tina remembers the sweetness and passion of their past love through one single shared kiss; the way they so naturally sit together like they were accustomed to do; the way Tina strokes Bette’s hair like she was doing before…

Finally, past and present literally mixed here, through Tina and Claire’s first conversation. It was so nice to see the two women who truly love Bette Porter sharing a similar way to be, “meeting” with such gentleness… Well, I don’t know if it would be possible, but I really wish they could become friends : no doubt they have a lot of things in common – and here I don’t speak about Bette.
Well, I always liked a lot your character of Claire from the very beginning – above all because I can fully relate with her – and so I’m delighted to know she will come in LA very soon.
