Tina — Plan B; Pt. 82
“Hey, TK. Long time no lunch.”
I couldn’t help but give
“So, what’s the scoop?”
“Scoop?”
To this
Leave it to the writer to piece things together so quickly. “We’re proceeding.”
“Oh, so that’s what you kids are calling it these days.” She waved her napkin my way, giving it a teasing flourish. “‘Proceeding.’”
Why must I blush so easily when it comes to some topics?
When it seems that I might finally have her attention again, I summon up the courage to address what really has me feeling anxious. “I did something.”
“By yourself? Because, Porter is now around and available.”
“Al, we’re moving forward.”
She almost looks sheepish. “Sorry.” Almost.
“So, what’d you do,” she lowered her voice to a whisper, “and why are you being so mysterious?”
Okay, so maybe I am overplaying the whole secretive thing. With my history, though, especially the history of Bette and me, I really want to ensure that my expectations remain grounded.
“First, Bette’s going to
“By herself?”
“She invited me, but with the end of the school year, I thought it better if I don’t travel.”
“Sensible, as always, Ms. Kennard. How long will she be gone?”
“Just the weekend.” Unspoken was the ‘I hope’ that I’d have tacked onto the end, had I truly been voicing my fears.
“So, that’s ba-good?” Poor
“I am a bit nervous about her going away, especially given” No need to tramp back through that minefield.
“Have you thought about telling her this?”
“I have told her.”
Besides the fact that she said that she loved me. “She said she was willing to cancel the trip, if I wanted.”

hmmm…a surprise planned with friends (good!)…but Tina goes berzerk (bad)…. The imaginiation reels at the possibilities…
Alice keeps a secret? Cold fusion is next. Thanks!
Really enjoying this story. Hope Jess will allow Bette to live with them peacefully and not cause too much of a ruckus. She is a teen but surely she see how much they love each other, maybe not. Alice can not keep a secret. Can’t wait to see what the secret is. post soon please. Thanks.
I have to admit, I’m like Tina, I don’t like surprises; not even good ones; and more often than not – someone will let the cat out of the bag. Good post as always. Now, I’m worried for Alice, what will she tell Porter about the surprise???? Thanks for posting.
Love it love it love it
Tina should try talking to Bette instead of Alice, I think…On a different note: The quality control department may have gotten a bit used to your high standards of writing, and therefore missed the sequence-thingy. I wouldn’t hold a grudge :-)
pseud this story stays one of my favourite. always looking forward of a next chapter. thanks.
and why is tina talking to alice about it? shouldn’t she talk to bette? communicate, don’t let the opportunity to get back together with someone you love pass you by
Tina should be telling Bette all this, not Alice. Tina should know that Bette would never hurt her again. If Tina would get off her hihorse and think. thanks
Thanks for writing. I always love when I see multiple chapters waiting for me.
I love surprises! What’s the surprise? Tell us before 85!!!!!!!
ok heres my analysis type thing:good: bette planning a surprise for TKbad: we dont know what it could be…really bad: also dangerousy close to chapter 85 *dum dum duuuum…*cant wait for more tho… seriously…
A surprise? I like surprises. So I won’t guess it. I’d rather let you lead us and reveal it later. I’m sure you can always bring us surprises and amazement as always. Thanks again for your great effort and excellent writing.
Heehee, am I the first this time? I really enjoy your story. I’ll write more later after I read the chapter twice. =)
humm..im totally lost here..lol..your amazing pseud..have the tallent to totally mixed up with us..lol..cant wait for more thanks :o)
Thanks so much for another chapter. Alice and Tina so funny together, I always like Tina’s internal dialogue. I’m intrigued about this surprise…
WHEW
Coming out of lurking….Great job! You’re killing me here. :)
*waves at jks* loved your comments girl.pseud does keep it fresh. knowing it was al should help but then we have chappy 85 and tina going ape shit. hmmm. well she says she doesnt like surprises but dayum if she knows then she should not have a 2 x 4 up her ass. well baby bring it on. cuz we all know bette would never hurt tina again. so this should be way past interesting.
P, your dialogue (both internal and between each character) is simply amazing and divine (to use your word). ;-) Thanks for posting two chapters this weekend!“We’re lunching without the Divine Ms. Porter. For that reason alone, there must be a scoop” – always the perceptive reporter, that Alice. And Bette is surely divine, indeed.“I don’t like surprises. Bette knows I don’t like surprises. And why would anyone keeping a secret tell Alice?” This was funny. Even though Alice will spoil the surprise, hopefully, this conversion will help Tina calm her fears and help build her trust for Bette again (as I’m sure this surprise is a good surprise). Glad that she’s talking it out and putting a stop to her imagination running wild. I hope that with this surprise, Tina’s insecurities will be further dampened by Bette’s love. Well, Rome wasn’t built in one day. So, please take your time and continue with this great path, pseud.Hmmm, I can’t wait to see Jess’ POV on Bette’s staying at the house for the next couple of days. Is she really “neutral on the idea”? Let’s hope that Bette is winning Jess over as well.
Yeah, so pseud…I think the missing chapter was intentional, because you correct actual errors or omissions as soon as you’re made aware of them. I’m very interesting in your sequencing these past few chapters…it makes for some intrigue that we might not otherwise be a party to. Keeps it fresh.
