Boston, saturday morning.

Shane´s making breakfast, she wants to be attentive to her mother.Julia appears "Is that the coffee smells so good"

Shane: "Have a seat. I`ll bring you some".

Julia sits down, feeling flattered. Shane brings the coffee very carefully and quickly looks for the plate of bread she just finished toasting. She puts it on the table and takes butter and strawberry jam that Julia eats every single day out of the refrigerator.She sits, picks up a slice of toast, and asks, "Just jam, right?

Julia smiles."Yes, just jam"

While spreading the jam on the toast, Shane says, "I hate strawberry jam…I don´t Know how can you like it" She hands the slice of toast to her mother.

"Your grandma was the one who got us , me and your uncle, addicted to strawberry jam.She made it herself. I remember the aroma that wafted all through the house whenever she decided to make the `blessed´ strawberries jam. She always said that her mother used to made it, and that her grandmother had also made it, and her grandmother´s grandmother, in the 15th century, also prepared her own strawberry jam. I just eat it -I would´n dream of spending hours making jam."

Shane: "I need you do me a favour"

Julia: "Sure, whatever you want"

Shane: "Today I have to register to take a Spanish class…so I´d like to borrow your car.And I have to send the letter, too"

Julia: "Spanish classes? Interesting…maybe I should study another languaje, too"

Shane: "It´s a very sexy languaje…Or maybe it just sounds sexy coming from Carmen´s mouth.Every time I turned around,She was whispering a ton of words in my ear -in Spanish- and even though I didn´t have the least idea what she was saying to me, she still managed to drive me crazy. And I always wondered if she told me the truth about what that words meant…maybe she was saying `the dog jumped over the fence´ and I understood – she told me – that she was saying `I want to eat you up´." She laughs. "Carmen could do it, she has a greatsence of humor"
