Till We Meet Again // A B/T Beginning Story Chapter 23

“T…what has gotten into you? First, you get purposely drenched in the rain and ruin your clothes then take off your heels and run barefoot through puddles and wet-grass? Do I need to call a doctor?”

“Shhh…do you hear that?” Tina cocked her ear to the side excitedly, gesturing to Bette to stay quiet and concentrate. Bette heard nothing. Tina knelt down on one knee, holding out her left hand, beckoning Bette to take it.

“Dance with me?” she spoke softly, her lips trembling with nervousness and anticipation.

Bette looked at her as if she had grown another head. “Erm…T, this may be obvious but there’s no music,” she said in a mocking conspirational tone.

“Listen carefully baby…” her eyes glistened with tears but her smile was radiant, warm and inviting.

Bette looked around her surroundings, consuming the fluid blend of watercolors—the charcoal-smeared sky with ribbons of clouds, the serpentine flashes of lightening, the dark silhouette outline of clumped trees, the downpour uniting the canvas. And sure enough, she heard it. A wordless tune was created only for them as the rain showered down its blessing on varied surfaces over the earth, producing misty, gentle, concrete, dripping, pouring and splashy sounds; the random pulsations as lightening split the sky and the clouds thundered in applause; the wind sighed sweetly among the leaves, whistling through the hollow reeds; the branches bended down and swayed in celebration. Nature wrote them to be together and now came to stand testament to their eternal love.

She took her hand. It was the single second in time that the world perfectly aligned itself, and everywhere there was peace and harmony.

Venga y ahogarse en este amor,

mora si quieres en este amor

Jinko jinko bhi, milna hai likha

    Ishq milwayega,

Door door se dhoond dhoond ke

    Pass le aaye ga

Kahin bhi jaake chuppo, ishq wahin aayega,

Kitna bhi na na karo uttah ke le jaayega

Maano ya na maano, yeh saari hi duniya

    Isi ke dum pe chale

Next Chapter is the final one before I take a break. This Chapter was supposed to be much longer but I had to cut it off at some point. Things will resume in the next Chapter so that you can have some good stuff before all hell breaks lose and the drama actually starts.

    Comments

    1. I love your story! Oh no, all hell is about to break loose. I hope Tina and Bette finally admit their feels for each other….soon! You are doing a great job keep it up. I’ll be patiently waiting for the next chapter before you break!

    2. Wow! I didn’t expect that from Tina, but it’s so hot that she’s going wild with Bette. (And cute.) They really have to be together! Ooh, I can’t wait for the next chapter. Sooo excited. Thanks so much MaverickLal101 for posting!

    3. Fantastically funny and so sweetly sexy as well. I was smiling from ear to ear when they both were given feedback on their job performances. Bette – he deserved a Z! I hope one of them takes a chance on speaking honestly soon. By the way Mav – I’ll take blue balls anyday if I have something exciting to read and re-read over the recess… :>)

    4. Just found this story and am catching up. About the “verse”at the end – thats not all from the same song, is it? The first 2 lines are in Latin and the remaining are in Hindi/Urdu.

    5. I’d give ya some hot peppers Bette! and hopefully Tina or Bette finally admits something to one another, is this why all Hell is gonna break loose??? PPS:)

    6. I’m actually enjoying the bouncing around with the dialog. I think they’re both gone on each other, now the question is who makes the first move. I believe it will be Tina. Then that will make for an interesting anniversary dinner.

    7. You know you are right, there are a lot of things that someone needs to consider before passing judgments or question peoples choices, I think if I were in Tina or Bette shoes I would go through the same kind of hesitancy and persistence of making this marriage work or lots of reasons. Sometimes love is not everything you should think about or consider, there are more important things that needs not to be overlooked. Thank you for clarifying that one for me, I tend to be sentimental most of the times and forget that there are four sides of the rectangular. This chapter was amazing and very well written, you have an incredible talent with words and of making us feel how do they exactly feel. I can’t wait for the next one, and can you please post soon. Have a wonderful evening. Love

    8. Ok it took me some time but I finally caught up with this story, and it simply fantastic. Mind you I have seen the movie that this story is based and I think u have done a great job. The movie itself was very different to ur usual Bollywood genera and I loved it. The description of feelings and depth of love between B&T is simply brilliant. I hope ur ending is not as sad as the movie. Have a good Holiday and post soon please:)

    9. Oh my, I’m loving this stuff ! So, in my last comment ( on the previous chapter ) I wrote that I loved your Bette with all her flaws… Well, obviously I still do ( her remarks on her students’s work were priceless once again. Only she can make intellectual vanity enticing ! LOL ! ), but I forgot to say that your Tina with OCDs is pretty amazing too, not to mention hysterical. That said, I think she lost it this time ! LOL !!! But your description of Tina slowly dancing in circles, her head thrown back, in the rain did remind me of a scene that I love in “Edward Scissorhands”. Speaking of which… I think I can say that I’ve seen quite a few Bollywood movies in my life ( yeah I love musicals and… Well, I actually am quite the movie buff ), but I confess this story doesn’t ring a bell, I don’t think I have seen this one. Which is good for, at least, I won’t be spoiled this time. Anyway, I love love love this fic and I find it tottaly, utterly enthralling. Oh, and I should probably add that no matter how much of a die-hard Tibetter I am, this is exactly the kind of drama that I truly love. I really get bored very quickly when it’s too easy for B & T. Thank you, Maverick ! You rock !

    10. This is a most amazing love story. They love each other so very much and I hope that they get a chance to admit their love to one another and be able to be together to love freely, openly and with great abandon. This should really be a book of fiction, it would sell faster than it could be printed. You have given them such beautiful phrases to utter to one another. When Tina said, “Listen carefully baby”… I can hear her saying that. I can feel the anguish from them from not being able to express their love and it is almost suffocating. I can imagine how you feel writing the story. Great job. PPS

    11. Tum Dil Mein Na Samaate.

      Toh Bhula Dete Tumhein,

      Tum Itna Pass Na Aate.

      Toh Bhula Dete Tumhein,

      Yeh Kehte Huye Mera.

      Talluq Nahi Tum Se Koi,

      Aankhon Mein Aansu Na Aate.

      Toh Bhula Dete Tumhein.
