Bette : “what raido? what are ya on about?”
Kim : “The ship’s raido the one that keeps us in touch with the mainland, the police from Hawaii got in touch with the ship, they want to talk to you”
Tina : “The police wanna talk to Bette”
Kit : “Why?”
Kim : “Well they wanna talk to you about Candace Jewell”
Bette : “What about her?”
Kim : “Well she’s been badly assaulted, I when I say badly I mean she laying unconscious badly beaten in hospital”
Dana : “Unconscious”
Kim : “That’s what the police said”
Bette : “Ok so she’s been assaulted, still I don’t get why they wanna talk to me”
Kim : “I don’t know much all they said is that they believe you to be that last person to she her before she was assaulted”
Alice : “Wait they only wanna talk to her as like a witness, right?…not as if she did it”
Kim : “Well their gonna send some of their police offices to Tokoy our next stop, then when our ship docks they wanna take you Bette back to Hawaii for questioning”
Amanda : “What? they can’t do that”
Kim : “Yes they can, if they place you under arrest”
Shane : “What?”
Kit : “Oh come on that’s bullshit”
Sam ; “Wait a minute their gonna arrested Bette”
Kim : “That’s what they said yeah”
Bette : “What? but I haven’t done anything”
Tina stood up “Bette can I talk to you, in private please” she walked off into her room, Bette got up and followed
Bette : “T you have to believe me I didn’t assault her”
Tina : “Bette I believe you”
Bette : “Thank god”
Tina : “But there’s one thing that I don’t get”
Bette : “Whar?”
Tina : “How come the police think you were the last person to see her before she was assaulted” Bette looked down at the floor. “Bette when was the last time you saw Candace?”
Bette hesitated “not long before the ship was about to leave”
Tina : “What for?, to say goodbye”
Bette : “No, I just needed to talk to her”
Tina : “Why? you wanted to tell that you loved her or something”
Bette : “No”
Tina : “Then why?”
Bette : “Coz that ***** hit Sam”
A look of shock fell upon Tina’s face “What?”
Bette : “Yeah Sam didn’t fall, Candace hit her, that’s why I wanted to see her, to tell her what I thought of someone who hit a 15 year old girl, and I did kind of hit her but not hard she was fine”
Tina : “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Bette : “I wanted to, but Sam…”
Tina : “Sam, I’ll kill her….” she walked out of the room, Bette quickly followed…………………………………..
