               “The SERGEANT and the BABYSITTER”

                                                                        January 5, 2006

    That afternoon-Tina’s apartment

                                          Bette’s POV

That afternoon while Tina was working I took this as an opportunity to get some work done. What do I mean by work?-That meant two things. One the next day was Tina’s 30th birthday. Between now and the next 7.5 hours I “Bette Anjolique Porter” had some talking and rearranging to do.

The first thing I had to do was find a place that could prepare a cake in 5.5 hours. Now, most places would like for you to place an order 48 hours before. Sorry I didn’t have 48 hours. I barely have enough time as it is. I have this friend by the name of Iesha. She works for this bakery down on the corner of Dudley st and Washington st. She’s cool at times, but she could also be a bit of a nuisance, but Iesha wasn’t nothing I couldn’t handle.

So after ten minutes of thinking I came to the conclusion that I would have Iesha make Tina’s birthday cake. So I gave her a call

    Ring! Ring!

    “hello” Iesha said

“hey Iesha, it’s Bette” Bette replied

“hey girl. What can I do for you?” Iesha asked. She knew Bette needed something. Bette never called unless she needed something.

    ” I need a favor” Bette replied

“sure, anything for you” Iesha said. She said this in a low seductive voice

“great” Bette replied. She was excited by the enthusiasm in her voice. Bette smiled and said, “I need for you to make me a cake. Surprise me. I would like for it to be half vanilla and half chocolate.”

“okay, but I have one question for you. Is it for an adult or a child?” Iesha asked. She asked this because the shop was called sweet and nasty. It’s an adult bakery shop for exotic cakes, but they are known to make cakes for children as well.

“it’s a cake for an adult” Bette replied. She blushed when she said this

“oh, so whose the lucky lady?” Iesha asked.

“what makes you think it’s for a lady?” Bette asked. She was curious as always

“because, it’s rare a woman would order a cake for a man. They usually either bake one, or never bake one at all. The substitute for this would be a cupcake with a bright lit candle in the middle” Iesha said
