The phone ringing nearly made Bette fall out of the bed, she had half her body off the bed when Tina caught her with a strong arm.

Tina laughed and pulled Bette onto the bed, "whoa babe, relax, it’s just the phone."

"Mm I must have been tired," Bette said.

"It’s nearly seven," Tina said grabbing the phone. "Hello?"

Bette sat up in bed and stretched her limbs.

"Oscar? Calm down, slow down a bit, what happened?" Tina said laughing.

Bette noticed it was dark out and also that she was absolutely famished.

"No way!" Tina cried happily. Bette looked at her. "Okay, I’ll go in tomorrow! Okay Oscar, have a good night, bye."

She hung up and looked at Bette excitedly. "What’s up babe?" Bette asked.

"The Center got the funding from the Peabody foundation, my proposal worked!" Tina cried.

In a matter of milliseconds a bunch of thoughts swarmed through Bette’s head. The first time around she had gotten angry at Tina and in return Tina accepted Helena’s advanced, so Bette knew she had to be completely supportive. But at the same time she knew Helena was going to pursue Tina and that was gonna bring out that nasty jealousy.

Before Tina could get a whiff of Bette’s thoughts Bette pulled Tina into a hug and excitedly said, "congratulations!"

Tina seemed surprised by the action, "you’re okay with that? I know you normally got funding from them for ‘Provocations.’"

"Baby, you’re success is my success," Bette said, "besides I’m not working for the CAC anymore, I’m turning in my two weeks notice tomorrow."

"So you’re okay with this?" Tina said.

"Absolutely," Bette said, "and in fact I would like to go with you to the center tomorrow and celebrate."

Tina’s jaw nearly dropped off her face. She put her hand on Bette’s forehead and said, "are you sick or something?"

Bette chuckled, "no, I’m just happy."

"Oh I know what this is," Tina said nodding her head. "This is about that thing that almost happened with that carpenter. You feel bad about it don’t you? Babe you told me what happened right after and answered all my questions honestly. There’s nothing to feel bad about."

"No T it’s not only that," Bette said grabbing Tina’s hand, "I don’t ever want you to feel neglected again."
