“Alice i know you would do such a thing. Its just i hate blind dates. They’re uncomfortable and embarrassing.”

“Look Helena just think of it as going out with friends. I just really want her to feel welcome. I haven’t always been there for her and i want to make it up to her.”

I’ve been pacing up and down, staring out my window for the last 20 minutes. Joan should be here any minute and im both incredibly excited but nervous. This will be the first time i’ve seen Joan from that meeting 3 years ago. Although we talk on the phone, its not the same as having her here. We’ve both changed a lot in 10 years that it may have an effect on our relationship, though i hope not. Her taxi pulls up outside my apartment and without a word to Dana i sprint down the stairs to meet her.
