At some point during breakfast Bette angled one of her legs so that her knee met Tina’s, skin against skin as their legs were left bare by shorts and skirt respectively.
Caught by surprise Tina choked on her orange juice. She began coughing and Alice that sat next to her slapped her back hard a couple of times until she could get her breathing under control.
Tina looked at Bette accusingly while the brunette tried to hide her smirk by stuffing her mouth with pancake bits.
Tina arched her eyebrow and then mischievously dropped her hand to rest unmoving on the brunette’s thigh just below where her shorts ended.
It was Bette’s turn to almost choke as the heat radiating from Tina’s hand seemed to scorch a path up the inside of her thighs that ended up directly over her clit. She could already feel the trickle of moisture in response to the fire.
Bette was just about to place her hand on the teasing one on her thigh when Jodi approached them.
“Bette, do you have a minute?”
“I’m busy Jodi.” Bette’s countenance changed from playful to cold in the span of a moment.
Jodi sighed dejectedly and tried again, this time just signing.
“Please, I just want to talk to you. It won’t take long.”
With a gentle rub of her fingers on soft skin Tina pulled her hand away from Bette’s thigh which in turn made the brunette turn to look back at her.
“Maybe you guys should talk.” Tina said slowly, each word making the ache that was constricting her chest worse.
Bette frowned and her eyes searched for hazel ones only to find them guarded, unreadable. If she had instead looked at Tina’s hands she would have seen them clenched tightly on the blonde’s lap. She sighed and turned back to Jodi. She nodded her head.
“Ok, let’s talk.”
Bette got up, looked back at Tina once again and then she walked away with Jodi by her side.
“I can’t believe you did that!” Alice leaned closer to the blonde and whispered tightly.
Tina watched as Bette and the ex love of her life walked away side by side. Her heart broke with every step they took away.
“You can’t just let her walk away with Jodi.” Alice tried again vehemently. Tina was just sitting there like if hypnotized.
As Bette and Jodi disappeared through the door Tina sighed and shifted to face Alice.
“No, what I really can’t do is fall in love and three months from now when Jodi gets tired of playing married get my heart broken beyond repair when she comes back wanting Bette once again.”
It was delivered in an angry tone but Alice could still hear the pain behind it. She was struck mute by it.
“I have to let Bette chose freely because if Jodi is who Bette wants then I need to know it now.” Tina paused to swallow and then she finished in a whisper. “Before it’s too late.”
Alice regarded her friend intently and she couldn’t help thinking that it was already too late. She wisely chose to keep that thought to herself and instead said.
“You know that’s all very noble and shit but you need to let Bette know you are in the competition too.”
Tina frowned and looked at her blonde friend who then continued.
“It’s not a choice between you and Jodi if she doesn’t know you are an option.”
“I slept with her, Al.” Tina exclaimed.
Alice waved her hand dismissively.
“That was just sex.”
Tina stopped herself from disagreeing with the other blonde’s assessment. She didn’t think she was ready to go there herself yet much less talk about it with someone else. Unaware of Tina’s turmoil Alice continued unperturbed.
“What I’m talking about is you showing Porter that you want a relationship with her. A girl likes to be wooed once in a while. Yes, even Bette isn’t immune to a good wooing.”
Tina turned her head to stare outside, her mind swirling deep in thought. Wooing… What would it take to woo one Ms. Bette Porter?

Loved the morning. Very playful. Fun. Although, come on Alice, Tina has done all the work so far. Bette needs to grow a pair, tell Jodi off, and maybe tip off Janet that she can do better. Maybe some other guest should show Tina some attention.. because I don’t want her humiliating herself by chasing after Bette unless Bette is putting in the same effort back. So far, she has hardly stood up to Jodi’s advances. Can’t wait for more.

well needs to make thing clear with jodie and no more of this talking crap. jodie is suppose to get married she needs to buzz of and if tina really wants bette she needs to fight and let her know! :)PPS

Great post … it makes me smile and want to read more, you are really a very talented writer ! I do not know what it takes to woo Ms. Porter but I am sure you have a pretty good idea for the next chapter. I think I wouldn’t take much wooing, but it wouldn’t be bad either. Tina is right, she can’t be the rebound. But then, that is taking a lot of chances.
Long chapters with lots of great moments and a bit of drama is great – it’s the effing waiting that is so frustrating:-) another great one from you – thank you for keeping the pace and the drama it keeps me comming back for more and occationally re-read ;-)
So happy when I see a post by you..the love between them is so perfect. Don’t let Jodi spoil it..don’t let Bette allow her to spoil it.

I hope this means you will “Woo” us into another NC-17 encounter – the last one was simply too good not to repeat! Alice needs to be having her little chat with Bette as well — Tina seems to be rescuing Bette from herself at the moment…Alice needs to help Bette see the error of her ways…

Woo woo, I just love this story…it’s perfect in every way! Yep, Tina should do some wooing and Bette needs to tell Jodi it’s over…she’s moved on. And where’s Jodi’s bride to be? If I was her, I’d be telling Jodi it was over between us too. Can’t wait for the next update!

I understand Tina’s motivation, but Alice makes sense (odd as that comment seems, LOL). Time to pull out the big guns and put Jodi in her place, THE PAST! I hope Bette will stand her ground and reach out to show Tina how ready she is to see where they are going.
Alice is lucky that she did not get banged upside the head for barging into the room. Alice does have a point about wooing Bette. What Alice and Tina don’t know is that it will not take much to woo Bette Porter. Is there away to get jodi away from Bette, like now?

i love this story! i love the premise, and i enjoy how it was presented. tina’s done enough wooing (though i won’t mind if you did a little more), and bette needs to show her that she loves her more than jodi. and janet better humiliate jodi by refusing to marry her on the wedding day! janet doesn’t deserve jodi!
