Chapter 7

At Bette and Tinas

Tina woke up when the sun touched her face through the window. She felt a tired from last night. They had a great time with their friends although Tina was mad at Bette for acting like a child. So she drank a bit more than usual and was kind of hard to Bette before they went to bed.

She reached over to where Bette usually layed and felt emtyness. She stirred and saw that there was no sign Bette slept there the night before.

‘Oh no’ was all Tina said when she got up to look for Bette.

She went out of the bedroom and called

‘Bette? Where are you?’ no answer. She went in the livingroom than the kitchen.

‘Bette?’ nothing. Then she saw the note on the counter.

-Went to work early.
See you for dinner
Bette –

They’ve been together for three years and that was the first time Bette left without saying goodbye to her. She felt bad. What did she do to piss Bette off like this? She just told her that her behavior was unappropriate. And it was. Not that she tried to seduce Tina…that was sweet and made Tina feel desired. But the fact that she acted like a child or a pubertal boy when Tina said no for a good reason was not ok.

But it is now how it is. Tina got in the bathroom, took a shower and made herself ready for work. Then she ate a small bowl of cereal and took an apple to eat on her way.

‘JAMES!!’ Bette shouted.

James poped his head in her office

‘Yes’

‘I asked you to bring me the catalogue of Elina Antoli. Did you forget that simple instruction on your way out?’

‘No Bette, I didn’t. I…’

‘Then why is it not here on my desk?’

‘Because Ms. Antoli didn’t send a catalogue.’

‘What? You are kidding me, right?’

‘No Bette. I called her and she said…’

‘Well call her again and tell her if she doesn’t send us her catalogue asap, she won’t be in this exhibit!’

‘She will be here at 11 for the appointment and she insured me, that she will bring her catalogue to discuss the details.’
