Chandra: So you’re Carmen’s media guy, right?

Mark: Something like that.  It’s a special house party from she told me so….why not chronicle it?

Chandra: Why not?

Chandra shrugs and laughs.

Mark: What inspired the need of this kind of shindig?

Chandra: I’m feeling great…enjoying life.  And I wanna share that feeling tonight with everyone else.

Mark: I like the way you think.

Chandra smiles and dances her way to the living room which has been converted into a party pad.  There’s a little bit of room to walk, but not much and part of the room has been sectioned off as a dance floor.  And with the music thumping, it’s time to party.

The music is upbeat and so are the people.  The dance floor begins to fill up as Carmen encourages everyone to have a goodtime.  Shane watches on, as she hangs out with Alice and Lara who appear to be treating this as their personal prom.

Alice: Shane….nice, isn’t it?

Shane: Very.

Lara: Carmen’s got the crowd going already.

Shane: She’s pretty good at that.

Alice: So what are you gonna do?

Shane: Ehhh…just kick back and watch the fun….keep myself outta trouble.

Alice: Please do.  We can’t watch you all night, y’know.

Alice winks.

Shane: I’ll be cool.  You two go out there and dance, man…seriously.

Lara smiles and walks up to her girlfriend, extending her hand.  Alice takes it and together they go into the wilderness.  Already, things are beginning to get steamy as Uta and Gabby command part of the dance floor.  Uta places Gabby’s arms high in the air and instructs her to hold her hands together and not bring them down.  Gabby agrees with a nod and Uta begins to slide her hands all over Gabby’s body, lost only to themselves and the moment.

Carmen looks over the crowd and knows already it’s gonna be a fun night.  Off in the distance, Shane is already turning down prospective dates.  She’s proving her loyalty tonight in the ultimate test.  Outside on the patio, friends hang out at the bar.

Eduardo: Why are we here again?

Gene: We were invited.

Gomey: Damn right.  It’s been a long week so this shit’s here at the right time.

Eduardo: The drinks are free, right?
