Tonya looks down at her midsection.

Tonya: Yeah….just another 8 and a half months to go, knock on wood.  So I’m having to be really careful about what I do and what I eat.  Gah….it’s almost exhausting at times, but I know that in the end, it’ll all be worth it.  I’m fine with either a boy or a girl, but I’m really hoping for a girl.  But we’ll see what happens.

Alice: Yeah, keep us updated on how that goes.

Tonya: Some of my clients are already wanting to plan my baby shower and….

Tonya chokes up for a moment, then sighs.

Tonya: Just get misty eyed just thinking about it. But anyway…how about the two of you and Lara…tell me a little about yourself will ya?  I mean, I don’t really know you, but kindasorta know ya a little from what Dana had mentioned when we were together.  Don’t worry, it was positive.

Tonya winks at Lara.  Lara closes her eyes for a moment and grins.

Lara: Well…I was with her and then we broke up….and then we were together again…..and…

Alice can sense Lara beginning to shake and places her right hand on Lara’s right arm in comfort.

Alice: Officially, Tonya….Dana was with no one for the longest time….then Lara….then you…then me….then Lara….

Tonya: And now she’s with the angels.  I’m so sorry….  I know it’s kind of a heavy subject and I know she meant a lot to you.

Alice: I know she meant a lot to you, too.

Tonya: Well.  Yes.  I think the sad part for me was that I didn’t realize just how truly special she was until it was over.  I was engaged to this loving…beautiful lady.  She was goofy and she was energetic….and God she loved to dance.  I remember this one time, she was so nervous before a tournament that she would go into this weird routine…she’d hop on one leg…and she’d hop on the other…..just back and forth.  You know, it was so great seeing her win that tournament last year.  And…..that was YOU she kissed!

Tonya points right at Lara who almost blushes for a moment.

Lara: Yes, that was….a really awesome feeling.

Tonya: It seems that the three of us are so different from one another, yet have this…..I’m not sure how to describe it.  It’s like a bond of sorts.  Three people who loved and cared deeply for someone and now here we are just talking away.  And….I really hope we can do this more often.  I’m actually thinking of moving out here somewhere.  There was this one place I was checking out, but I rode by there today and it looked like it was already being sold.  Nice place…right there at the beach.
