    At the Planet and at the house

    The Long and Winding Road – chapter 10.

    Tina was the first to begin to stir the next morning. She opened her eyes to find that she was spooning into Bette’s back and one hand was resting comfortably on her bump.

    The events of the day came back to her – the funeral, Bette’s appearance, her wonderful eulogy, the way they had reconnected in the Planet, Henry’s spite and the magical night they had shared culminating in them making love and falling asleep entwined .

    What a day – if they made a fresh start that day would definitely be one that they should mark as one for celebration.

     

    She knew that Bette was in a vulnerable place what with the baby and everything and really she shouldn’t be pushing her but Tina really wanted her to stay in LA and make their relationship work.

     

    As Tina lay holding Bette she felt her stir so she kissed her back – tracing her tongue in crazy patterns around Bette’s spine. It took Bette a while but she rolled over to face Tina.

     

    “I was so afraid that I would open my eyes and I would be alone – that yesterday just happened in my imagination – that my dream world that I exist in most of the time finally took over “

     

    “If it was a dream I never want to wake up from it either “

     

    Tina softly placed her lips on Bette’s – she tasted good. She had tasted good for eight years and now two years apart had just made her flavour even more desirable.

    “Do you regret last night ? “

    “Not one second of it — do you ? “

    “No – what time is it ? “

    “Almost 8 “

    “ Shall I order us breakfast or do you have to get to work ? “

     

    “I have to get home and get changed and then get to work – sorry Bette “

    “Its okay – I understand – I might sleep a while longer – I’m meeting the others at the Planet at noon – any chance you could accidentally pop by for a sandwich ? “

    “I don’t hang out at the Planet much these days – my job keeps me in a different part of town “

    20. I like the idea of Bette moving back to LA and having her entire family…..(the whole gang) be a part of her babies life. Yet, I also enjoy the idea of Tina moving to London for a completely fresh start. Great update Ally. Looking forward to this story unfolding some more.

    22. Get you, Ally. You’ve got the girls fighting over you. As for the other girls, they really are just blazing along. What has it been, slightly more than 24 hours and Tina’s been invited to be a mother to Bette’s child? London? LA? Both?

    24. Isn’t this what Tina wanted to be the other parent? I would have a very hard time not jumping on that plane and moving to England to be with the one that I love. It would be weird though to around the father of Bette’s child and then laying claim as the other parent. Maybe the move back to LA is in the best interst of Bette. Now ladies give Ally a chance to meet all of you and see what happens from there. Webcams is a great idea. Now, Ally what kind of ice cream again was your favorite?

    25. For my part, I think that Tina should go to London. That’s her turn to do the little extra that make a difference in their relationship. A good wife and wife relationship should be filled by plenty of give and take and in this one is time for Tina to give. Great story! I like it a lot, please post again soon.
