The L Word: Tina Kennard’s lost background
Tina was driving through the busy streets, not paying much attention to the horns she resaved. Some men were turning their heads after her car, wanting to see the owner of this fancy vehicle. Her new black, convertible BMW M3 was a nice view, and today she was in mood for some speed. The elegant car was sliding with gracefulness, and soon she was near her home. The busy day had left some traces over her face, but she was ready to turn back on it, and devote herself to her girlfriend.
She parked her car in the driveway, right behind Bette’s. She reached and took her purse, locking the doors and switching the alarm. Bette was in the kitchen, busy putting the last touches over the pasta. She heard the front door, and walked in the living room, greeting her girlfriend.
“Hey, baby…you’re early today!” Bette said, kissing her on the lips, wiping her hands in the apron. Tina chuckled, knowing that she just brooked the surprise, but she was happy to be home, and so happy to see Bette.
“Yeah, I call It a day…I can see you’re busy…” Tina said, motioned to the apron.
Bette blushed, but reminds cool “Well…yeah…I was cooking actually…”
“You don’t have to, you know, it’s enough that you are here. That’s all I want!” Tina said kissing her girlfriend passionately, pushing her to the couch.
“T…as much as I want to make out with you, the diner is in the oven, and I can’t afford another “stir fry chicken show”…” Bette said, trying to avoid Tina’s kisses.
“The firemen were very amused…” Tina chuckled
“Yeah, but they didn’t pay for the repairing…” Bette kissed Tina’s nose “Tonight you’re mine…” Bette said rising from the couch and heading to the kitchen.
“I’m always yours…” Tina yelled after her, and then she got up and went in the bathroom for quick shower. While she was walking through the house, her attention was dragged by the aroma coming from the master bedroom. She quietly walked in, and looked around. Tina gasped from the view in front of her eyes, Bette’s effort to make this night special was so worth the hectic day. She was ready to have whole month of hectic days, if the nights were ending like that. She tip toes’ out and headed to the bathroom. Tina was happy, for first time in a long run; she had her refuge, her own little haven, and no one could ever take it out of her. Never again! After 30 minutes she walked back down in the kitchen, finding Bette busy scrambling something with the mixer.
