Chapter 20
8:30am. Day 18. Tina’s Motel. San Francisco.
Bette woke up disorientated. She was on the floor in a strange room. She blinked her eyes, trying to remember where she was and why, then she heard the shower and a flash of the night before spun through her mind. She grinned as pulled the sheets away, stretching her lithe body before standing and walking to the bathroom. She watched through the steamed glass as Tina showered, feeling herself get aroused at the sight before her combined with the memories of the night before. Opening the shower screen, she stepped in behind the blonde. Tina had her eyes closed as she rinsed the shampoo from her hair, but she could feel the presence of her girlfriend and stepped back into an embrace. Bette circled her hands around Tina’s waist and nuzzled her head next to Tina’s as she kissed her neck.
“Morning beautiful”
“Hi baby” Tina turned to face Bette, wanting a proper greeting, she let the warm water cascade over both their bodies as leaned in to place a soft kiss on the brunette’s waiting lips. Bette stepped closer when Tina broke the kiss, hungry for more, starving for the feel and taste of her girlfriend. She returned to Tina’s neck, licking and biting her way to her ear lobe, knowing the effect it would have she swirled her tongue over the outline of Tina’s ear. Tina’s stomach fluttered at the feel of Bette’s tongue and hot breath but she gently pushed Bette backwards.
“I have to get to work babe”
Bette ignored her and shifted to exploring Tina’s body with her hands, while her eyes feasted on the view. Tina laughed at Bette’s hunger; she loved how they could not get enough of one another. She pulled Bette closer, standing on her toes to reach Bette’s ear.
“You know what I miss when you’re here? Phone sex. Call me at lunchtime.” She smiled at the look on Bette’s face as she stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel to dry off.
11am. Day 18. Tina’s Motel. San Francisco.
Bette had rearranged as many of her appointments for the following 2 weeks as she could. Most were able to be taken as conference calls or video links so she could attend from San Francisco, a few managed to be postponed so she could attend them after Tina was ready to move. But there were 3 that she would have to fly back for and James had managed to re-schedule them all to next Monday. She needed to head back to LA anyway, to pick up extra clothes, her laptop and files, so she did not let her own work suffer for the next three weeks. She was beaming with pride at sorting it all out in just 2 hours, bursting at the seams to tell Tina their idle talk was now a reality. But first she had to sort out another surprise. Bette picked up her cell phone one more time and dialled a number.

Guess Bette will eat by herself. Lets see how far Tina gets,before she cools down. Why did she gets so angry??? thanks
Very well written… mini-cliffhanger and all. I am a huge fan of this fic. I think I may be the only person who can see why T could be mad. Bette is starting with the pushiness, though I know its not her intent. I love the fact that you have decided to keep T’s independence a key theme in this story. PPS!
WTF! The alpha in me would catch the first flight back to LA, and let Tina come chasing after me. Bette has bent over backwards to try to make Tina happy. What has Tina done? Anyway, Love this story, can’t wait for the next chapter!!! Maybe another post today, please…
Sh*t. Another walkout. Another slammed door. Another notch in the fight/disagreement column. They clearly love each other and sizzle in bed (or floor for that matter) but they’re still figuring out how to be in a relationship, how to be a couple. Hope they’ll find a way to be together without hurting each other all the time. Thank you for the hotness and the drama, tibetteporter! :>
Well she didn’t have to react this way, why can’t she just be nice and accept it and talk to Bette about it later. Thank you so much for posting, I love how passionate they are about each other.
You need to post more often b/c this story is so great. I never expected this last twist. It reminds me of Jodi’s ungrateful attitude in the beginning of S5 when she returned from NY. PPS.
Damn what is wrong with Tina? Bette was doing a good thing for both of them and Tina acts like she smacked her in the face. I hope Tina doesn’t go crying to her ex and gives Bette a chance to talk to her. PPS
boy that totally sucked ass!!!! i thought Bette made such a grand gesture…as soon as the shock wears off Tina SHOULD come to her damn senses and realize all that Bette has done/given up to be with her!!!

Damn, Tina can sure get cross when she wants. Talk about clashing. Bette was only trying to show her love for Tina and make things comfortable for the two of them for the next 3 wks. Tina has to learn to accept gifts from her lady and be pleased that she thought of her and her comfort. Now she needs to turn round and get back there and apologize to Bette. Love the story. PPS
WOW tina needs to chill but i think is worried that they are mmoving to fast, if they live together for 3 weeks what happens when tina moves to LA and they live apart? i get tina but she needs to chill and tlak instead of walking away… the drama of these two,lol :)PPS
