“Just let it out…I’m here and I always will be”

Eventually out of sheer emotional exhaustion Bette succumbed to sleep and Tina formulated the remainder of her plan and hoped that the sleeping figure in her arms wouldn’t put up too much resistance.

Three weeks later Cambridge England

Helena was not long asleep when she was startled by someone at her door, she was relieved and ecstatic when the subject of her dreams walked in dragging a suitcase behind her.

“Bette where the hell have you been I’ve been worried sick….never mind your here now…how did Tina take it” Helena wasn’t really concerned how Tina took the news that Bette was returning but it was polite to ask.

“Tina took it just fine”  Tina answered on Bette’s behalf as she followed Bette into the room.

“Oh…hello Tina….what a pleasant surprise….” Helena lied more for Bette’s benefit than Tina’s.

“I hope you don’t mind if Tina stays here for a few days” Bette wasn’t over concerned if Helena minded or not but it was polite to ask. “I apologize for not calling but we have spent the last couple of weeks travelling around Europe…Tina thought we deserved a break”

“I see….well I hope you had a very nice time…and I insist Tina takes the Jet back home….it would make me happy knowing she will be travelling home…. in comfort” Helena added the in comfort as an after thought.

“Your too kind but that won’t be necessary….I’m….” Tina replied.

“Nonsense I won’t take no for an answer…I believe my mother promised it would be at your disposal….I will have it all arranged for when….the day after tomorrow….” There was far too much enthusiasm in Helena’s tone for Tina’s liking and was glad when Bette set her straight.

“Helena…. Tina isn’t going home she’s staying here with me…well not here exactly…she’s rented out her house in LA which means we can afford to rent somewhere here until I finish school” 

“We?”  Helena’s heart dropped at the “we” part of Bette’s statement.  “Your not staying here”

Tina had suspected and Al had on more than one occasion expressed that Helena had a thing for Bette and her demeanour since her arrival confirmed it, not once had she talked to her directly. 

“We..”  Tina pronounced “Could stay here that is if you don’t mind being disturbed with our nocturnal activities….”  Tina was aware her words were childish at best but so worth it.  

“What…no…..i mean yes….of course you’ll be staying with Tina…I don’t know what I was thinking…” Helena stammered.

It’s late Tina and I will quickly take a shower and let you get some sleep…we’ll talk in the morning”  Bette took Tina’s hand and led her away before she could embarrass her any further.

A short while later they returned from the shower and snuggled up in Bette’s bed.

“Jesus Bette….how have you slept through that racket for all this time”  Tina referred to the extremely loud and unladylike snoring currently coming from Helena’s side of the room.

“I guess I have just grown used to it”

“Do you think if I shaved her eyebrows she would wake up”

Bette quietly giggled “Once she’s gone nothing will wake her up but by no means is that permission for you to do it”

Tina instantly forgot about shaving Helena’s eyebrows and was more interested in the fact that nothing could wake the sleeping heiress.

“Tina what are you doing”  Bette had dropped her tone to a whisper.

“My hand is cold and it needs warming..”

“We can’t…what if she wakes up”

“You just said…”

“I know but it’s not like I have ever put that theory to the test, I think maybe you should stop”

Bette’s words were against Tina’s ministrations however her body was certainly betraying her verbal objections. 

“Mmm…you sure you want me to stop..”  Tina whispered as she continued teasing and probing under Bette’s pj bottoms.

Bette grabs her pillow from under her head and uses it to cover her face.

Tina giggles “What are you doing”

Bette peeps her eyes through the small gap and whispers

“I’m going to need this when you start on the chocolate”
