The Gathering 01.83 –  Life’s Folly pt 2 – With Your Love

            “I kissed her, oh my god.  What did I do?  I think I’ve lost what was left of my mind in the bathroom at Milk.  Dumb Alice, just so ***** dumb.”  Alice said as she paced her apartment, Jayden and Lara were sitting on the couch, watching her pace back and forth in front of them.  Neither of the women quite knew what was going on, they didn’t know who Gabby was, or what was going on with her.  It was a scary thing to watch someone de-construct before your very eyes.

            Her hair was tossed everywhere and they’d both tried to get her to stop moving around, to no avail.  Then the knock at the door and Lara shot up and opened the door to let Sam and Shane into the apartment.  She greeted them with a shy smile and led them to the living room where Alice continued to move about in a guilty pace.  Sam put a hand on Lara‘s shoulder, giving her a comforting wink, and Lara did finally smile.  Shane shook her head, with a hard look on her usually pretty face. 

            “Gabby?  Come on Alice, what the ***** were you thinking?  I take that back, you weren’t thinking were you?  Never are when it comes to that woman.”  Shane launched into berating Alice and Sam gave Shane a killer look.  What was with Shane, a bit of compassion would have been nice.  Their friend seemed to be in need, and she was ripping her a new *****.

            “Easy Shane.”  Sam stated, Shane had been in a mood since they’d left the house, she’d even driven them there and Sam had grabbed the ‘oh *****’ bar over the door twice.  The fearless doctor had found fear as Shane drove.  The car had shimmed and shook as Shane had revved the engine and speed shifted the gears.  Darting through a few yellow lights; and making Sam curse under her breath.

            “I don’t know that woman has a spell over me!  That’s it!  She’s a witch, a demon witch spawn from the Anne Rice novels.  She kissed me, and well, *****.  I kissed her back!  Dumb Alice, dumb, dumb!”  Alice blurted out, running a frustrated hand through her hair.
