“How is Alice holding up?”  Marina asked and Kit blew some air out from her lips, making a funny sound and Marina gave her a curious look.

            “I think she and Dana should have stuck to being friends, that’s what I think.  Who am I to talk, I was dating a woman and I was in denial.”  Marina took her cup of coffee and went to sit with Alice and Bette.

            “My advice?”  Marina offered, settling into the chair.  Alice nodded, pushing her hair from her eyes as she waited.  ***** let them all weight in on this, what the *****.  “You need to have a long talk with Dana and decide if you want to be her lover, or her friend.  Then stick with it.”  Marina took a long sip of her coffee and Alice looked around the room, she saw Sam walking into the Planet with another woman.

            “Who the ***** is Sam with?”  Alice blurted out forgetting her problems for a minute.

            Shane sat at the table with her mom, they’d been talking for a while now, and Fiona handed Shane an envelope.  Their relationship had been strained at first, but Sam had helped putting it at ease.  Being a perfect girlfriend and accepting Fiona, no questions asked.

            “What’s this?”  Shane asked, setting her plate of food aside and ripping open the envelope.  It sure wasn’t her birthday.

            “You remember why I was here the last time?  Mr. Hackman?”  Shane gave her a look, she pulled the papers out.  Police reports and autopsy reports.  She gritted her teeth, and saw a set of finger prints that were lifted from the scene of the dead man’s house.  A red stamp with the words “Unidentified Perpetrator” across the pages.   

            “What is this?”  Shane demanded throwing the papers back at her mother.  She’d been played, that was what was going on.

            “Seems that they never found out who the other set of finger prints belonged too.  They are yours you know.  I wouldn’t want Sam to find out that you might have had something to do with his dying.”  Shane felt cold suddenly, shivers passed through her in waves.
