The Gathering 01.20 – Crossing Lesbians

            The CAC.  It had been turned into a dance club by the mischievous Brian Kinney; the speed at which Brian had turned the CAC into an all out thump pumping club was an amazing thing to say the least.  The waiter’s and waitresses were as close to naked as the law allowed, and there was two bars, a sound system that could be heard for blocks and purple and green lights put the place in the mood for more than looking at art.

            He’d sweet talked the board into allowing him to use the place for his own plan.  A hot, ***** ***** fest.  At least that was how Bette saw it.  The music was pulsing; the floor shook as the beat thumped repeatedly. 

            This was no black tie event; even though the waiters were wearing bow ties and nothing much more.   glanced left and right, looking for Tina.  Instead she saw one of the montages of photos of the new show that was the whole point of this party.  Have the actors that were breaking ground, meet with the real people that had broken ground a long time before anyone would have even fathomed putting on screen for the world to see to analyze and to learn from.

            Bette spotted Brian chatting up a nice looking young man blonde and slim.  He kissed the young man readily and freely.  She envied him in a way he was very at ease and in the moment, she was as tense as a guitar string.  Tina had been so busy the last two days that she hadn’t had a moment alone with her.  She ached for Tina but it would have to wait.

            She finally saw Tina standing next to Samantha.  They were talking and it seemed to Bette that they were the only people in the room.  Tina was in leather pants and a red silk top, reminding Bette of their adventure on the island.  Sam was wearing a sleeveless black shirt and a pair of old worn out jeans. 

            Bette remembered how they’d looked at one another in the plane a few weeks before.  Fire, electricity, sparks.  It was how she’d looked at Candace the first time she’d really seen her, ***** and forbidden.  Brian came over to Bette, pulling along the young blonde man with him.  The blonde was checking out the guy behind her and Bette looked to see Tim standing there.  She chuckled inwardly at that turn of events.
