The Fast and Fevered Fall – Chapter Six
Tina looked across the dinner table, she watched as Helena spoke to the man who was sitting next to her. Tina couldn’t hear what they were talking about but the way the man smiled she knew that Helena was saying something that he approved of. Helena looked up and saw Tina watching her. Helena smiled while Tina looked quickly away, knowing that she had been caught out.
“Helena’s been on a rampage about The Headquarters for Social Justice. She encouraging us all to take a tour of your facilities.” said a voice to her right.
“Oh.” said Tina, blushing at the compliment.
Tina shook her head at herself. How inarticulate could she be? Then, out of the corner of her eye she saw Helena begin to move out of her chair. Helena looked directly at Tina, a challenge was laid down. Tina just wasn’t sure what it entailed. Tina turned her head so that she could watch Helena walk slowly into the hotel. It was almost a swagger that started to make Tina think that Helena was the best thing that could happen to her right now. Maybe it was what she needed, the attention of someone that needed nothing from her, and how she missed someone holding her at night, like Bette used to do.
Tina cleared her mind of all of those thoughts, deciding it might be a better idea to actually eat something instead of playing with her food. Then her phone started to ring. She wondered who it could be. Everyone knew where she was, then she looked at the caller display, Helena. Who else? Tina made her excuses to move away from the table before she took the call.
“Hello.”
“Don’t these boring, pretentious dinners make you really horny?”
“Where are you?” said Tina, smiling at Helena being so forward.
“Waiting for you to come and show me another side of Tina.”
“And what side would that be?”
“The side that wants to walk away from that table right this very second. I’ll be waiting for you by the pool.”
“What’s my excuse?” asked Tina, blushing even more now at the turn this conversation was taking.
“Why do you need an excuse?”
“Well, because…”
“Never apologise, never explain, Tina.” said Helena before Tina could finish her sentence.

Would it have been different if she had found out who called? Maybe it would but you’re the girl with the answers.
Jeej! yay! first!!
I love how you’re going into all the elements that brought Tina to this moment. Fantastic, as usual. (Laurel is, indeed, a goddess… I just don’t like Tina [on the show] very much anymore, a distinction I think a lot of people have a problem with)
Indeed she is, LH rocks, rules are there to be broken. Looking forward to reading what you have in store for Tina. Thank you
Welcome back! Hope you had a great time at the convention. Can we get a full report? Even though we know how this scene played out on the show, I kept hoping you would swoop in and change it :). Your writng is exquiste as always, thanks.
LAUREL IS indeed A GODDESS. Thanks CG. Always excellent. So Tina’s thinking about her days with Helena now? Very Interesting. Now according to those very specific rules, why shouldn’t the baby be written in fics? She’s so intuitive that little girl, and very charming in most fics. LOL. PPS. I love this fic.
Rules of Fanfic, you forgot No 6 – writing eases stress… Great one mate!
Your writing is always worth reading. : )
CG…You write this beautifully but this series of scenes always hurts my TiBette heart.
This was a very sad and heartwrenching scene to relived. The hell with the rules..go with #5 :) Thanks!
Good chapter and I like rules #5 and let see whats next, thanks!
Definitely, Laurel Holloman is a goddess. She does Tina so well and I love both her and Bette. Too bad you do not like them together.
C-Gal, It was great to see the motivation behind Tina’s actions in this moment. Helena measured the situation well and help Tina cast off the remains of her relationship with Bette. All in all this was a cathartic event that liberated Tina. More please because your writing is wonderful ans both the conversations and descriptions bring the story to life. Can’t wait to see where ou lead me to next. Your Loyal Fan.
I loved meeting you! You are one amazing woman. BTW, in case I forgot to mention this to you, Laurel RULES! Remember “you” control the Tina legacy :o)
Love the way you wrote the scene. Excellent as always!
this is depressing to relive again…Laurel rules and Tina will be okay…i think TiBetters will be happier soon…and i think this story should have happy ending as well, please?
I agree that rules are meant to be broken. I love how you are writing Tina and showing us how she falls. Thanks,
