    When Bette woke up, she groaned in pain and realized that there was something pressed to her forehead. She slowly blinked and moved her arms which were hanging freely down to the floor of her car. Why was she sleeping in a car? For one moment, she prayed that all of her troubles with her

    When Bette woke up, she groaned in pain and realized that there was something pressed to her forehead. She slowly blinked and moved her arms which were hanging freely down to the floor of her car. Why was she sleeping in a car?

    For one moment, she prayed that all of her troubles with her stalker had been dreamt, but then as she picked up her head from the wheel, she saw shattered glass and everything came back to her. Sophia had been in the car with them – Tina in the passenger seat. Immediately, Bette started to panic, looking around her to both sides of the ditch, and the interior of the car – there wasn’t any blood. They’d both been wearing their seatbelts. Sophia, too, or she would have been in even rougher condition than Bette. Undoubtedly, Sophia had Tina with her, or Tina would have stayed.

    Bette sat up in her seat, still sloped from the ditch, until she could manage to swing open her door and pull herself from the vehicle.

    “Where …” Bette mumbled to herself, stumbling to the ground with her lost sense of balance. Where did she take Tina …? Where were they going? She didn’t give herself time to process all of her questions. Bette started out on shaky feet down the road along the ditch in the direction her car was headed.

    As she walked, she remembered Sophia pointing them in that direction, and confessing that they were close to their destination. Tina had panicked and tried to save them both by swerving the car, but it clearly had done them no favors. Bette lifted her hand to her forehead and felt a large bump growing on the left side from the impact. She was still wobbly on her feet when the dirt road opened on the right side to a small driveway. With one glance in toward the gravel and one glance to the endless road ahead, Bette sucked in a deep breath and jogged up the road with what energy she could summon.

    There were no sounds coming from the forest cabin she saw at last, but that didn’t comfort her. What if something had already happened to Tina? Not wanting to make her presence known, Bette started limping over to the right side of the little house to look in the windows, but a voice paused her in her tracks.

      I’m not normally one for thrillers and such but you drew me in right from the beginning and I just couldn’t leave, even when it started to get scary!

Guess I’ll get back in line and reread the whole thing in one sitting. I know you are expanding your styles and genres, but a really juicy and dark kink, heavy on the discipline, would really, really make my day, month, year…so, pretty please!?
