Friday
In less than four hours she would be across town attempting to do yoga in a 90 degree room. By this afternoon, she knew that she would be a complete terror, because once again she failed to get enough sleep. And, by five o’clock she was quiet certain that she’s be passed out on her couch with Seinfeld playing on her television, which she would regret when she woke up with a horrible crick in her neck.
But right now? Alice couldn’t have cared less. Snuggled contently into one of Dana’s jacket, she sat next to the brunette on the beach watching the waves; Alice was once again blown away by the woman sitting next to her.
The blonde wasn’t the only one completely smitten, however. Dana had been spent the better part of the week thinking and talking about Alice so much that Harrison volunteered to go rent the U-Hal for the big move.
He was promptly met with a tennis ball to the forehead.
Never before had Dana met someone who she became so comfortable with in such a short period of time. Normally when the athlete found herself around a woman she was attracted to, she was hit with a bout of nerves that left her stomach churning and her mouth rambling.
Alice was different. She loved that.
"Do you have any plans for Saturday," Alice asked ending the comfortable silence they had been sharing for the last few minutes?
Shrugging slightly the athlete replied, "I have my run in the morning. And then I am meeting my trainer at 2pm to go over some tapes from some previous matches. Then I have this stupid cocktail reception thing I have to go to that my manager set up. Urrg…," she whined, falling back to lay on the blanket in a huff," it is going to be sooo boring. I never really know what to say or anything at these things. I just want to play tennis with out all this other crap that makes me feel like an idiot."
Twisting her body so she was now facing the reclined brunette, Alice said, "You’ll be great. I’m sure of it."
Using her elbows to prop her up slightly Dana asked, "Whatcha up to on Saturday? Sleeping all day?"

I am with nbd14, after 7 days, you could do a sequel with A falling back to her old habit of waking up after 10am. She would need a vacation after the week. And who be a better companion than D. lol. This chapter was a lot of fun and love that D stuttering all the way through with the cops. “… it doesn’t happen that often… see jupiter,” lmao. You are doing a fantastic job, anionayo! Wonderful!! I would also take the consequences of waking up early to watch the sun rise with Dana. Tennis ball to the forehead — Hee! So cute that Alice asked Dana to the family breakfast. It was a big step but both of them seem ready for it. It is getting steamy in here! Dang police. Meh. Dana would not make a good criminal, would she? Love how comfortable they are with each other and I am sure they will get to those three little words in due time. Thank so much, anionayo!!
Loved it, the “aaaaaw” factor was pretty high in this one. And I’m with the rest of the gang here, please write a sequal after these 7 days are over. This story is just too d*mn good to just stop after that :).
