    Author Notes:

    The first part of the beginning of The Dark Panther and her love, Tina Kennard….

    Bette’s POV:

    Oh god, she is crying now and is making my heart shatter in a million pieces. I held her tightly in my arms and I kissed her softly, stroking her hair and trying to comfort her. I whispered in her ear, "I promise you that I will be back for you for tonight and I will be with you all night." She looked at me with those damn beautiful hazel eyes, streaming with tears and asked, "You promise?" I nodded and replied, "I would never break a promise to you because I am hooked on you." Tina placed her lips on mine and once again we made out like crazy when I pulled away and said, "I need to go or I will never leave. See you tonight, my love." And with that I was gone, leaving my poor Tina crying her heart out again. As I went into the bathroom to change in my business suit and I ended up crying as well. Seeing Tina in tears brought me much pain and I wanted to do all I can to take the tears away. After crying for several minutes, I got myself together and I slipped my business suit back on, slicked my hair back, placing my eyeglasses on and high heels. Then I placed my costume in a bag and put it into my locker. Then I walked back to Tina’s office and I saw her still lying on the couch, crying her eyes out and I took a big gulp so I wouldn’t start crying again and went inside her office. I sat down on the couch next to her and I ran my hands through her hair, asking, "What’s wrong?" Tina turned to me and sat up, tears streaming down her face and cried, "Oh Bette, Helena came in and wanted me back. She wouldn’t take a fucking no for an answer and The Dark Panther came back and really let her have it. Then she had to leave after a few minutes of kissing. I am just so fucking in love!" I smiled at Tina because it felt so good hearing those words from her; of course I am eventually going to have to tell her the truth about the dark panther, but not just yet. Tina threw her arms around me and cried on my shoulder and I reluctantly wrapped my arms around her and I eventually tightened my hold on her. And I held her with my being as myself and it felt so fucking good!

    Tina’s POV:

    Bette held me tightly in her arms and it felt so fucking good. She held me for several minutes until I pulled myself together and pulled away. I looked into Bette’s warm eyes and she gave me the sweetest smile and asked me, "Are you going to be alright?" I nodded my head slowly and said, “I think so." I was ready to kiss her, when she put her finger on my lips and said, "I can’t, I want you to kiss me, but not under these circumstances." Bette got up from the couch and starting to walk away when I got up and asked, "Why? Did I do anything wrong to make you feel this way?" Bette faced me again with a pained expression on her face, "No, it isn’t your fault at all, but you are my supervisor and it just wouldn’t look right if we were making out in your office. Besides, you have the dark panther and I don’t want to come between that." I replied,
    "I’m sorry, Bette." Bette gave me a weak smile and gently touched my face with her hand, "Don’t be."

    Bette’s POV:

    I so bad wanted to kiss Tina, but this wasn’t the way to do it. I think Tina was feeling lonesome for the dark panther and it was hurting me as well. I wanted to make love to her as myself on that couch but something told me to refrain from doing so. Tina said to me, "I care a lot about you, do you know that?" I replied softly, "I do and I care about you too, very much so." I gulped and had to take a few breaths, when Tina put her hand on my back to comfort me and I said through my gasping for air, "I need to go, I’m sorry!" With that, I darted out of the office, leaving Tina standing there all hurt and confused. I didn’t want to leave her there, but I was really in pain and I needed to leave before she discovered who I really was.

    3. WOW !!! Helena dumping Tina for Jenny…then back..Bette as Tina’s secretary… and fighting a black panther with her bare hands…. That is funny as Hell !!! You sure must continue… That’s a very strange way to seduce a woman, but why not, since Tina obviously loved it… now, the problem will be to explain the truth… ;-))

    4. YES, please continue. Poor Bette, she has really done it to herself. Hopefully Tina will figure it out and Bette can be with her as Bette and not the Black Panther

    5. Bette’s DP outfit : “black sweater with a hood, black leather overcoat, black mask, leather gloves, jeans and boots”…. she most definitely needs a CLOAK… where is the cloak ?! :-)))

    6. OH YEA! Couldn’t stop reading till the end and was upset when there was no more. Tina loves the dark panther and is very fond of Bette time to let her know her secret identity. Please mam may we have another?

    8. This is great. It reminds me of Halle Berry in Cat Woman…she or The Black Panther can strut into my house or office any time. I think maybe Tina subconsciously knows that Bette is The Black Panther. More please!
