    Bette had the blonde backed against her front door, kissing her hungrily as she moved to her throat and back to her mouth, claiming it with her tongue.  Tina gripped the brunette’s hair, feeling as though she might come again from just kissing the gorgeous woman. 

    It ended too quickly in the blonde’s opinion and soon she was bounding down Bette’s front porch with a spring in her step.

    The brunette watched her go, swallowing hard, knowing that she wasn’t going to be able to hold back the three little words much longer.  She just prayed Tina was ready to hear them. 

     

    It had been a week since the massage, and Tina couldn’t wait to see the brunette again.  She was sitting at the break table at work, trying to job hunt, but all she could think about was Bette.  She had several good job leads, one at Alphaville that she was particularly interested in, and yet, the brunette consumed her thoughts.  The past week had been like the rest, completely incredible.

    They had made love several times that week.  Or rather Bette had made love to her.  The blonde was literally aching to touch her again, to have her submit to her, to taste her.  Each time Tina had attempted to touch the brunette, Bette had stopped her and increased the blonde’s pleasure, taking her over and over again.  Tina knew it was because the brunette was self-conscious about her time of the month, but the blonde’s desire had been so intense, desperate even.  

    But it was the afterglow, the quiet in the mornings, the moment when their eyes met right before they kissed that were the moments Tina was coming to cherish.  She had never felt so close to anyone.  She had always thought it would be hard to be vulnerable, but nothing had ever felt so right. 

    Her walls were crumbling. 

    Bette was shattering the blonde’s control with tenderness.  The brunette had been more than patient with her.  Throughout all of Tina’s confusion, her hesitation, Bette had been there to offer words of comfort, to offer her support. 

    Through her fear, Tina had come to realize that she not only wanted Bette but that she needed her.  All her issues, her inability to open up to another person had led up to this.  Maybe she was meant to be with Bette.  Meant to be?  Was this what love meant?  Was this what it felt like?

    2. It appears they have hit 2 bumps in the road :) Hopefully this will force them to have an honest conversation and open up to each other about their feelings for each other and their fears.

    3. Damn alice and her big-assed mouth and now jodi, what the hell else can happen. Somebody should strangle alice and tape her damned mouth shut. And what the hell is wrong with Bette, she should have told jodi that if she wanted to talk about the show she should make an appointment at the office and shut the door in her face. Sometimes Bette makes me mad being a weak noodle. She needs to get some damned backbone and tell people like jodi NO and get the hell lost. Rant over. Thanks for posting.

    4. RF…your last was so good that I can’t even remember why I was feeling crappy. Alice meant well, but sometimes she lets her mouth get the better of her and Jodi…she just needs to go away. Thanks for writing this story.

    5. alice alice alice… WTF… and jodi she is always showing up where she isn’t wanted… now tina needs to grow a set an get the hell out of her car an walk into betts house like she lives there… kiss bette long anf hard and say whats for dinner… and then turn to jodie and say work day is over… time to go home… Please don’t let tina run away… great chapter… pps

    6. If Tina stops letting her own insecurities (and Alice’s interfering speculation) get to her, she might remember that Bette has assured her more than once that she doesn’t want anyone else. Tina can either keep running, or go stake a claim for the object of her as yet undeclared affection… Thanks for the post. :)

    9. Amanda is so right. I should have thought of that but I was so mad when I read that jodi showed up at Bettes’ house and she let her in. She should have just shut the door in her face and called James and told him what happened and told him to pack up anything that jodi had already sent them and send it back to her and do not accept anything else. She also should tell jodi right there that her show is cancelled and she does not need her or her show because her reputation precedes her with a very long history of being a pain in the ass. Please dont let Tina leave she needs to confront this and let jodi and Bette know that she is hers and is not available to that tramp jodi. Got that off my chest. Thanks.

    10. o-la-la! More drama is coming our way! I’ve been catching up after a short pause. All the chapters kept me excited, but I start worrying about this unexpected visit. Thank you for the marvellous job!

    21. actually, because BP is dealing with an important work person, I can understand why she didn’t leave Jodi outside her house. Anyway, this despite how unprofessional Jodi is for turning up unannounced. Cos to BP it’s really about business and she isn’t doing anything wrong “officially” since they aren’t in an exclusive relationship yet right? Hm, i will read previous chapter again. I do hope however BP has sense to get changed asap because otherwise it will definitely send out the wrong signals to thick-skinned Jodi. On the other hand, i will understand why Tina would get upset with seeing Jodi entering BP’s house. Timing is everything sometimes. And sometimes the more one falls din love with a person the more insecure and jealous one can get. I’m sure BP’s naughty past will catch up with her soon too…Candance and goodness knows who…:P . Again, I really like how real issues like work and insecurities are worked into the story.
