“PORTER! KENNARD!”
Bette and Tina looked up in surprise as the very same guard that put them together in the holding cell and hour earlier was now unlocking the door.
“You ladies are free to go. Your lawyer posted bail for you.”
Tina looked at Bette confused. They had spent the last hour holding each other not saying much of anything at all. Tina hadn’t even thought of how they were going to get out.
“I promised you I’d take care of it didn’t I?” Bette said confidently “I asked my lawyer to represent you too. I hope that’s ok T. You can get someone else of courseif you like.”
“Thank you so much Bette. I really appreciate what you’ve done here for me.”
“It’s nothing T really, I just.”
“Alright you two lovebirdsdo you two want to leave or not?” The officer said with a smile.
“Oh god yesumma’am? Do you know if Eric has posted bail yet?” Tina said fearfully.
“As a matter of fact he has.”
Tina’s shoulders sunk. She was hoping to get to the hospital first. She didn’t want Eric there causing a scene again.
“However” the officer said catching Tina’s attention, “his paperwork seems to be taking longer than expected. In fact, the server lost his information completely. I don’t know what happened. Let’s just say Mr. Cruz may be here with us for a while.”
“Thank you! I don’t know why you are helping mebut thank you. What is your name?”
“Alicia Miller, happy to meet you two, butI don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s just a technical difficulty” She replied feigning innocence.
At that, Bette grabbed Tina’s arm, “Come on Tina, they can’t hold him forever. Let’s get you to the hospital. Nice to meet you Aliciaer officer Miller”
“Just a second ladies!”
The women stopped and turned to look at the officer apprehensively.
She leaned in close to them and whispered. “My girl is waiting outside in a green Honda to give you a ride to the hospital, and you can call me Alicia.”
Tina looked confused as Bette suddenly realized that the friendly officer was a *****.

You gotta love this version of Tina’s father. Let him hang on. That Bette, but you know sometimes we flirt and its completely innocent. HAHA, besides Tina’s already got her figured out. There too cute.
