The story takes place a month after Bette had been released from the hospital
Bette, Tina, and Maria all have gone back to work..

The scene opens up at the planet
Maria, Kit, Tina, Bette, Alice, and Shane.

So how is Dana doing in that tournament in France? Kit asks
I guess she had a difficult game yesterday.She was really cranky Alice said.
Will any of it be televised? Tina asks
I think the semi-finals and the finalsIm not sure I will ask her if she calls tonight.
Alice said as she was checking her computer for emails.

So Shane you must be extremely excited to be working on that movie set..
I cant believe all the big names they signed for it. Kit said

Im excited it definitely will allow me to pay my bills for at least two months.
Shane adds Did you hear that Jenny might be having her book published?

Notell usBette says as she takes a sip of her tea.
I guess her instructor got an executive from a publishing company to look at it.
I guess she loved it. Shane adds She finds out at the end of the weekShe is in Chicago right now with her teacher.

Im so happy for her. Tina says in her sweet voice as she picks up Anna Bella.
That is so awesome that she is doing that.I hope I can get at least one of my screenplays just looked at. Maria adds. Oh Tina I have an interview on Friday with a school district about a full-time jobDo you think I would be able to get off?

Bette I was reading an article in the photograph magazine about how you are going to
exhibit photography work done by some local celebrities. Alice states

Yes we areIts going to be really excitingJames and I have some appointments this week to meet some of the celebrities and discuss thier work. Bette adds.

ShitI have to go everyoneI have to be at the studio in a half hour. Shane says as she waves good by and hustles out of the door.

Maria we better head to the center. Tina says as she stands up.Maria comes over and
grabs Tinas extra bags.

Tina gives Bette a kiss good bye Bette then leans over Anna Bella and gives her a kiss
On the forehead..Bye baby girl. Bette says as she waves good bye to them.

I think that is so nice that Tina has a daycare at the center so she can keep a close eye on Anna Bella. Kit says as she watches Tina leaving.
I know..I think between Tina and I we would be calling every five minutes to check on Anna Bella.now I just bug Tina. Bette states


Later that day after work.
Tina and Maria are loading Anna Bella into the back seat.
Tina are you sure you dont mind driving home by yourself? Maria asks
NoI dont mind at all. Tina says
An all black escalade pulls up with its music load.All the kids outside come running up to it.
Bryan gets outHey little man you can look but dont touch ok.
He directs the statement to a teenager who was getting ready to hop in the back seat.
Bryan has his sunglasses on and he looks like some kind of celebrity.
Hi Tina. How is your little one? Bryan asks
She is good thanksSo you two are off to go shopping? Tina asks.
Yes.I am going to introduce her to Rodeo Drive. Bryan says
Tina is at a lost for words.She looks at Bryan you must be doing really good for yourself.
Bryan smiles and motions to Maria to come on
Ill see you at home Maria says as she hugs Tina goodbye.
Tina has a bad feeling about BryanShe is really worried about Maria.

Bryan holds the door open for Maria and then he gets in on the other side.
They drive off.
So when is this interview you have? Bryan asks Maria
Oh its Friday at 1:00 am. Maria states.
Wait until you see Rodeo driveit is awesomeIt has really unique shops.
Bryan saysI thought to we could go to the Ivy for dinner on the way home unless you are hungry now.

Tina arrives homeBette and Shane are on the porch.drinking some lemonade.
Hey Honey Bette yells out has she jumps up to help Tina carry everything into the house.
Hi Babe.Tina says right before Bette gives her a kiss on the cheek.
How was your day? Tina asks herHey Shane.
It just got better when I saw my two favorite ladies pull up in the driveway.

I thought we could have Chinese for dinner if you dont mind. What time is Maria suppose to be home? Bette asks.

She left the center with BryanI think they are going out to eat. Tina said.

Well I will call in the order.Shane do you want anything? Bette asks
No thanks we had a ton of food at work. Shane responded.

We see Bryan carrying packages for Maria..as she is trying on shoes at the
Cole-Haan Store.
So which ones do you like? Bryan asked her.
I cant decide Maria said as she keeps looking at each shoe.
We will take both of those. Bryan said as he walks to the cash register to pay.

Bryan no.please dont do that! Maria said
Look you need some new things for your interview and job. Bryan said.
I want to do this for you. Bryan added.

Bryan and Maria get in the SUV and head to the IVY.

Bette and Tina are sitting at the dinning room table eating dinner.
Bette Im worried about Maria. Tina said.
Why is she not working out at work? Bette says
Its not that She is one of the hardest workers thereshe loves the kids.
Tina adds.
Then what is it? Bette asked.

Im worried about that Bryan she is hanging aroundI have a bad feeling about him.
Tina added.
Well he seems nice to mea little flashy but nice. Bette adds.
I just worry about how he is getting his money Tina replies.

Just then Kit comes walking through the door.
Hey Bette and Tina.how is my little princess she says as she reaches down and picks
Anna Bella up from her playpen.
Hi Kit Tina and Bette say as they are eating their food.

Oh that sounds goodIll take an egg roll.I had some food before I left the Planet.

He seems nicehe is good looking polite. Kit adds What is the problem?

We dont care about thatas long as she is happy. Bette added.
I just have a nervous feeling about him. Tina replies.

Just then you could hear his SUV pull up in front of the house
You hear the suv doors open and shut
Maria walks in the house carrying shopping bags with designer names on them.
Everyone shuts up and looks at Maria.
Hi everyone.. Maria says as she heads to her room to hang up her stuff.
Bette follows herMaria these items are very expensive.How can he afford it?
Maria looks at Bette for a minute before answering.He has a good job.
So what kind of job is it Kit adds as she enters the bedroom too.
He is in business with some guys from back home. Maria adds as she takes some items out of the bag and hangs them in her closet.
Maria what kind of business. Bette asks directly in a stern but caring tone.
I dont know.I didnt ask? Maria said
You dont know and you didnt ask.. Kit states. So its like you dont care where the money comes from.
Damn you guys! Maria said as she sits on her bed.
Maria they are only saying it because we are all worried about you. We dont want to see you get in trouble or get hurt. Tina said
I understandbut I have known Bryan since we were in middle school. He is a good friend of mine he would never let anything happen to me. Maria said.
Maria please dont be blindokjust be careful. Kit adds.

Come on get your bathing suit onlets go for a swim.Bette says with a smile to her younger sister.

Bette and Maria are swimming laps as Kit and Tina are sitting with their feet in the water drinking smoothies.
I wonBette yells out..
You cheat too! Maria jokes.

The scene ends with.Tina and Bette in bed.Tina is curled up in Bettes arms.
I hope I didnt step out of line about telling you about Maria. Tina says
No not at allwe are all familywe just need to watch out for her.she is really naive.
Bette pulls Tina closer to her

There is a knock at the doorWho could it be at 1:00 am? Tina says as she looks at the clockShe starts to get upBut she hearsMaria talking to someone at the door.
