The art of living # 1

“Sorry…sorry…just one moment…”, she couldn’t take her eyes from them, but she had to. She didn’t want to bother the ladies she had fallen in love and stepped away.

“Hello…Hi…What’s wrong? …No, she will be here in… what… two hours! Yeah, darling…It will be ok and in time. No need to worry… I can assure you…Yeah… Ok… Bye, Jude…”

Tina turned to found their eyes again and Domina was by her mother’s side. “Sorry…movie stars…” The executive watched Mimi looking serious. “Do you have any movie star you would like to meet, Mimi?” Young kids nowadays watched TV and movies since young…She probably like some actor or actress, character…” Tina thought.

“Victoria Abril…Audrey Tautou? Do you know them?” The girl shot and Tina had to laugh from her own predictive. This little kid was difficult to foretell.

    “Hmmm…Sorry…No…Just the ordinary ones…, Mimi…”

    “Oh, ok… Maybe Penelope Cruz…”

“Yeah…I’ve known her, but she’s not in the country now…Sorry…”

“But you really work with movies, hn?”

    “Yeah…”

“Well, if you see Sponge Bob, could you give him a hug?”

Tina let her smile open even wider. “Sure I could…”

    “Ok…”

The blonde kissed the little girl and hugged her tight.

    “Sorry, but I have to go…I got go… I have to work…”

    “On Sunday?” Mimi interrupted again.

    “Mimi…” Bette warned her daughter.

    “Yeah, Sunday, Mimi…”

“My mom said she used to work like crazy over the weekends, but she never did it again after I happened… Maybe you should adopt a child…Or just try to relax… To have some fun…”

    Tina was in shock.

“Don’t be such a nosy and rude child, Mimi… Tina knows what is best for her life. Sorry, Tina.”  Bette looked at the blonde embarrassed.

    “Domina, we need to respect…”

    “…Others intimacy and chooses… I know, mom…Sorry, Tina…I am sorry…”

     “Accepted, darling, but maybe… you’re right…Maybe there’s a lot missing in my life…”

Tina was not ready for her own confession. However, if she reached for Bette’s eyes she would only found comprehension. She knew the way Tina lived. She lived for her work. Just like Bette almost five years ago.

To the blonde it was only the recognition of a simple truth. She worked a lot. The stress was high and over the years people just got used to get more and more from her. She was a great producer, but also she began to note she missed the pleasure inside her work. What’s moving her know? Her fuel was routine. She hated that, but she didn’t know how to change.

    1. Ok Ok, I love these Bette and Tina beginnings but this one is refreshing. Meeting in a museum but under completely different circumstances and with Mother Bette. Ok and how old is this kid who is hooking her mom up. So cute!

    2. Hi, Braz! What a different and refreshing new B&T beginning! We loved the interaction between mother and daughter. Hmm… It’s great that Mimi is playing cupid, here! This story is good, Braz. Absolutely. PPS Hugs and kisses on both your cheeks. Lucero & Marsha (Latin JC’s Salsa Aunties)
