The writer drools while watching them sloshing in the pool not hearing footsteps’ approaching until it’s too late.

“Jenny, what are you doing?”

The writer is caught red handed.  She freaks and scrambling for an excuse.  She turns around and sees the face of her new neighbor, Tina.  She takes a step away from the fence and opens her mouth, trying to explain to Tina why she’s there. 

“Watch out!” Tina yell was the last thing the writer heard.  Something hard pops from the ground and smack her right between the face.  Her eyeballs roll back in its socket.  Like a piece of dead wood, she drops to the ground flat on her back , taking in the last vision of a blonde holding a black weapon that looks like a machine gun as she blacks out.

“Jenny, Jenny…Shane, Shane come help me.”  Tina drops the leaf blower she has in her hand and kneels down to help Jenny.  She slaps the writer hard but she is completely out.  Tina calls over the fence for her friend to come help.  Tina throws the rake Jenny has accidentally steps on to a side and uses her hand to elevate the writer’s head. 

While waiting for Shane’s help, the weight of Jenny’s head is tiring her hand out.  Tina sees the stack of papers left by the fence and thinks about using it to support the girl head.  She places Jenny’s head gently on her foot and reaches over to grab the stack.  The bold title on the front immediate catches her eyes and curiosity.  She leaf through a few pages and a raging anger bubbling up inside.  She skims through the pages quickly. 

 Thud

She had raises Jenny’s head up, pull out her foot, and let it drop hard to the ground unsupported.  Tina stands up with the manuscript on hand.  Initially she wants to take it home and show it to Bette but changes her mind.  Not wanting to have anything to do with it or have it negativity taints their loving home.  She will tell Bette and their friends to stay away from this sicko.

“Crazy bitch!” Tina throws the book back on Jenny’s face, leaving the unconscious writer on the ground with not an ounce of pity.  She walks back inside her yard, tells the half-dressed Shane she no longer need her help.  They both go on about their business of the day while Jenny stays behind in Lala-land.
