    Sun Salutations: Chapter 6

    6.   The All Pervading

Neither Bette nor Helena had been that angry in a long time.  As they went their separate ways that morning, a dark cloud hung over each of them.  Helena cried nonstop during her flight to San Francisco.  She didn’t mean to get into it with Bette.  Once they started though, there was no backing down.  Neither woman was in a position to forfeit; they both had their recovering egos at stake.    Helena hated herself for arguing with her friend.

Bette was too pissed to sleep so she went to the gym early and worked out before her first client appointment.  After 3 back to back sessions, she went to her office, put her head down on her desk and waited for the tears to come.  After she had a good cry, Bette picked up her cell to call Helena but decided not to.  "She needs to think about herself", Bette muttered.  "She doesn’t control me."

When she lifted her head up off her desk and slid her arms back to their rightful positions, Bette noticed an envelope with her name on it.  It was a card with a picture of a chaise lounge chair in the middle of the street, surrounded by traffic.  Bette smiled as she opened it.
    Bette,

You are my calm in the storm of life.  I enjoyed the time we spent together last night.  You’re amazing.
    -Tina
p.s. I hope this isn’t too "unsettling" (smile)

"No, you’re the amazing one Tina."  Bette said aloud. She hadn’t been able to dismiss the wonderful way she felt when she was with Tina.
With yoga mat in hand and good thoughts swirling in her head, Bette hopped down the stairs to attend Tina’s 2pm Ashtanga class.  It was 2:05 when she opened the French doors of the classroom.  She was informed by an overly nice guy at the entrance that the class was full.  It was recommended to sign up a couple of days in advance for any of Tina’s classes because they filled up so quickly.

Bette exited the classroom and stopped to look through the window at Tina perfectly at home in front of her faithful flock.  She had on a fitted purple racerback midriff revealing her washboard abs and matching purple cropped yoga pants.  "She’s the amazing one." thought Bette.

Bette went back up to her office, finished some client paperwork and went home.  Her lack of sleep was catching up with her and she wanted to hit the sack early tonight.  She opened the refrigerator to find it full of neatly stacked Tupperware containers.  She read the note on the refrigerator.

    "Bette,

Hopefully you and I will have resolved our differences by the time you read this.  Although it may not seem like it, this food was made for you with love.

    2. Just finished reading all your chapters. This is a unique and different take on B & T. It has truely captured my attention. Thanks for sharing your story with us.

    3. My friend was once in love with a straight-up pimp and told her “yeah, well, they just act like that cause inside they’re dying to find the ONE. The one person who will make them forget about everyone else… so who knows?”

I mean, even Brian from Queer As Folk has to show he’s got a beating hear every now and then, doesn’t he?
Oh, not to mention Spike, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer who doesn’t even have a beating heart! He too is able to honestly love and care for someone…

Therefore, I firmly believe there’s hope for this Tina “Kinney”

Great story! Keep posting often =D

    4. WOW, I must be the biggest Bette fan ever because in this story I kinda think Helena is better for her. Tina is going to BREAK HER HEART! Unless of course the FINE author decides that Tina needs to change her ways….and SOON! Bette is vulnerable Tina, have a HEART!

    5. Again, I find myself thinking that Helena is in love with Bette and Tina is looking for a booty-call!! My B&T heart is rooting for Helena in this story. I need to go drink now!LOL :)

    6. astanga yoga?? wow! that’s what i learnt back at homes and pratice now off and on.. helps me breathe!!:)
love this story, iam sure a lot can happen over yoga!!

    7. Simply love your story. I love the aggressiveness and boldness you´ve put into Tina, and I love the dialogue between Bette & Helena. That was quite funny. I can wait to see what will happen next when Tina the seducer goes into action for good.

    8. Don’t let Betty just be a bootycall for Tina. Dont let Bette be hurt. Helena is unbelieveable in this. Making sure that Bette eat right. Bette will be making a mistake with Tina in this one..
