“Hey.” Lottie announced herself. “What’s up?”
Alice slapped the lid of her laptop firmly down and they both swung around, forcing beaming fake smiles.
“Nothing.” Helena answered, coming towards her to hug her good morning. “Sleep well in the chair did you?” she asked, trying to change the subject.
Lottie tried Alice next, “Al?”
Alice shook her head, but was a terrible liar. “It’s nothing …” she started, “nothing …”
Lottie walked towards her, eyes on the laptop. “What were you reading?” she tried again. “Al, show me …?”
Alice screwed up her eyes like a child that thinks if they cant see the person they’re hiding from them they themselves can’t be seen. Her voice came out high and squeaky as she foresaw what would probably happen …
“I don’t want to …”
Summer Vacation Chapter Fifty-One
“Alice?”
Lottie stood across from her defiantly, arms folded across her chest, knowing that if Alice was a failure at anything it was hiding the truth, her face couldn’t lie, her features too expressive, it was written in the way her eyebrows hesitantly curled up in the middle and how the edges of her lips puckered and turned inwards.
“Alright.” Alice sighed, giving in. She leant aside and opened up her laptop again, looking at Helena who stood silently to the side.
Lottie watched the page reload, the colourful banner of the Advocate website and an article snippet advertising a full in-depth interview in the up-coming issue …
‘Billionairess Charlotte Mitchell ‘comes out’ and reveals all about her fortune, her future and following in her ‘famed’ sister’s footsteps …’
Lottie turned to Alice and then to Helena, both of them standing expectantly, just waiting for her reaction. “What the fuck?!?”
Alice shrugged, “I know.”
Lottie scanned the brief snippet again. “Who wrote this …?” She scrolled down to the bottom, not really taking any of the content in, “Jenny.” She paused and turned, repeating once again, “What the fuck?”
Helena went to comfort her. “I don’t know, but we’re gonna find out,” she added, threat there in her voice.
“Yeah!” Alice jumped in, “we’ll … we’ll …”
“We wont let her get away with it.” Helena finished for her, unsure what Alice had been trying to suggest.

Of course Al can do it, especially if losing to Jenny is at stake. She’ll turn in something brilliant, cos Jenny must be destroyed! Or have her comeuppance. Or something. Anyway, yeah, total faith. I’m just curious, as to how all this is going to affect Lottie (and Bette), what with the public coming out and what not. I’m glad to see another chapter, thanks sofa.
jp22 is right. Of course Al can do it and she will, no doubt about it. Not only does Al get an interview with the elusive Bette and her rich/powerful little sister, she gets to fuck over Jenny, all at the same time! There IS a God and God is merciful! If it were me, I’d simply stick a spit up Jenny’s ass and roast her at the next backyard barbecue. Not that I don’t have a way with words, I just hate Jenny that much, the silly bitch. Kill her NOW! I’m still blaming her for the economy. But I do love the family coming together in the ultimate teamwork. And may Jenny’s career flounder. At least until she learns some decency and manners. And to wear clothes when answering the door. Always a joy to read you Sofa.
Jenny is a bitch and Im gonna kill her like I kill her on the show jk lol, but hope you make her gone soon. Lottie is good and handle thing well. Please post more, thanks!

Sofa, how the L did I get so far behind on this wonderful story, so sorry but I must admit it was great catching up. I know Alice will kick Jennys butt with her interview. I’m wondering how it is going to effect Angie and Tina. But I love the way everyone came together to help Lottie out that will most definitely help here with her feelings about how her family has been running the foundation. Thank you, Md aka Oma
Say what you want about me, but rule 1 to100 dont mess with my family. So Jenny did the unthinkable,she mess with the Porter girls and their family. Alice will make Jenny look like a First grader trying to print her name for the first time, She thinks thing one says them twice[to herself] an it becomes the truth. she is really pityful Thank goodness that some family and friends stick together.

Ohh, there is no doubt that Al can get it done. Jenny is a scumbucket and deserves anything bad that happens to her. The interview and photo shoot that goes with it will definitely do better than the crap that Jenny wrote.

yay! didn’t get to read it all, i’m rushing out the door and thought ‘ohhhh…i should check…’ and my instincts were right;) just for now, i have to say–i’ll always watch the show wishing they’d gone more into depth with ANY part of it. i would have settled for more of any character, but in particular, they dropped the ball on RS. she’s really an underused actress in an industry saturated with american crap–sorry, no offence BRANGELINA doufuses…i digress…it’s nice to read some in depth treatments of key characters, and summer vacation does that better than any other story. seriously. i mean that. it wasn’t just another forum for my little rants. THOUGH wasn’t it fun when jen aniston laughed at brangelina for losing BOTH times? ok, point being: you should write the screenplay for RS’s next film. non-linear line of thought, I know, but that’s just where I’m at. :)
I don’t coment very offen, but after reading this I just had to. You are a great writer, your writing makes me feel like a fly on the wall and just taking every thing in, its just so real. I know life gets in the way,maybe even that book you were thinking of writing,I don’t know, I’m not just asking, I’m begging you to please finish this, Its to good of a story to just let go. Thank you if you decide to and if you don’t its all your fans loss.
I so enjoyed this story and never wanted it to end but I now realise that there were no further posts after this one! I am so sad and frustrated also that I will not be taken to Paris and not know what happened to Jenny and oh …. so many things!

Oh, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write some more on this incredible story. I don’t want to be left hanging on what happened. You have too many exciting plot point to just leave it hanging. Please write another chapter, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

There is so much more to tell and it is sad it will not be finished.
Life can get in the way, but i still pray one day you will find the time or maybe the inspiration to continue with it.
Hi , would love an update to finish out the story – If you are up for it . Would love to hear what happens in Paris and some more Bette and Lottie talks . They have more to say to each other. Does Lottie change her major to art – and stay in L.A . Angie wants Lottie to stay in her life – well heck the whole family does .
Someone reccomended this story in a Facebook comment and I really enjoyed it .but sort of frustrated that if wasn’t finished . But I get how life and time gets in the way-
