Summer Reigns

 

            It was a clear sunny day at The Planet.  Which is vary unusual for LA.?  Inside Kit was bringing the morning order to the table of regulars as Shane and Carmen were walking up outside.  As Shane shuffled her way down the street with a lot of encouragement from Carmen.  Knowing how Shane is until her first shot in the morning Carmen was careful not to rush her.  Shane played with the hedges and hanging plants while she walked and smoked her cigarette then about twenty feet from the door of the Planet she stopped dead in her tracks.  “What is it baby?”  Carmen asked while looking at Shane and gently rubbing her back.  “Look at this fucking car Oh my god Carmen.”  Shane gushed and she flicked her cigarette and ran her finger gently down the fender of the car.  Carmen smiled at her lover as she once again realized that yes Shane was a Butch and all butches love cool cars.  “Yeah, Baby its pretty.”  “Pretty!  No, Carmen this car is a fucking orgasm on wheels…  Look at it baby, do you know how much a car like this cost?”  Carmen looked at the car and shrugged.  “Umm, no baby a lot I guess, can we go get our coffee now?” She asked while grabbing Shane’s wrist and pulling her into the Planet.  Shane’s eye’s were locked on the car as they entered and slid into there normal seats at the table.

            At the table were the usual suspects.  Bette, Tina and Angelica, Jenny and Max, Alice and Helena, and Kit and Angus.  The server sat down Carmen and Shane’s drinks.  Then waited for the tables order.  Everyone was in their own individual conversations one overlapping the other.  Kit looked up at the young girl and smiled.  “Well good morning girl, don’t you look feisty today.  How you doing?”  The young girl looked embarrassed and smiled.  “I’m fine Kit and you?” “Oh, Honey you know I’m fine I got my man, my family, and my baby boo…” she said as she kisses Angelica’s cheek as she bounces her on her knee.  “I think we will have the regular today right ladies?”  Everyone stops talking and agrees with Kit.
