After many phone conversations and much pre planning Tina, talked to Kit one last time, before they boarded their plane reminding her not to mention to anyone about their expected arrival. Both Bette and Tina had decided the best way to announce their visit, current marriage, and introduce the child they had together to everyone was to just show up at the Planet. Kit planned a celebration dinner in their honor and invited the whole gang although she had not told them, yet what news she had to celebrate.

Alice, Dana, and Shane were to show up Friday evening at the Planet with their partners ready to celebrate Kit’s news.

As the plane touched down at LAX Bette, nervously grabbed for Tina’s hand and began rubbing small circles on the back of it with her thumb.

Tina leaned over and kissed her softly on the lips saying, “Bette it’s going to be all right. We are in this together…I won’t let them hurt you Bette, and they won’t because they love you. I love you too babe.”

Picking up Angelica, and balancing her legs around her waist, griping Tina’s hand tightly they made their way through the busy airport to the baggage claim area. Using a luggage cart Bette, loaded the five pieces plus three garment bags on lastly, she set Angelica on the top to ride through the hectic terminal they made their way to their rental car.

In the years since they both had left LA with the prosperity of the Planet Kit, had bought a three bedroom condo thus, she could comfortably accommodate her house guests. However, Bette and Tina had already signed a three month rental agreement with a realtor weeks ago and wanted their privacy. Kit understood and tomorrow she would go over to the house with them and help them get settled in.

Talking well into the night they explained the reason for their extended visit and described the multiple surgeries required to fix the damage to Bette’s body. Although Bette, had never shown Kit the scars she imagined them to be horrible. Kit had agreed to baby-sit Angelica whenever, Tina had to be at the hospital with Bette. As she watched the interaction between Bette and Angie at bedtime she could tell they had grown even closer since her last visit to Denver in fact, Angie was now calling Bette, Mama B, and it warmed Kit’s heart to see the love in this family. She was so happy for her baby sis and Tina. After all the hard times she knew they deserved something good and it looked like they had finally found it.
